Listen to my personal Destiny story

Hello. For those who had the guts to listen to a person's Destiny adventures, thank you. For those who are just going to this post because I am a girl, at least read on. My name is Em and Destiny has had a huge role in my life. That may sound odd to some, but it is the truth. Friendships have blossomed on Xbox Live due to this game and they are friends that actually care about me. However, this story is about one friend in particular; My best friend. When Destiny was first announced, my best friend and I were excited for what Bungie had coming our way. With a Beta on the horizon, we were determined to learn what we could. We pre-ordered our games online the same day and couldn't stop talking about it. When the Beta rolled around, we played it together. We even stuck around for the sneak peek at the moon. After that, we waited for it to actually come out. My best friend was jealous though that my game came in the mail before his. He begged me not to play till his arrived, so I obliged and just looked at the steel book and post cards myself. When his came, we played it non-stop. We'd come home from high school and play it. This was our game. This was our game that we deemed special between us. We vowed to play it together. We vowed to do raids together and nightfalls together and Iron Banners together. We had a blast. We played each DLC together and sought out the legendary Gjallarhorn. He got his when I was still at school and I got mine during an Iron Banner (I shamefully came in last.) As Destiny grew, so did our friendship and our clan. We played through the Taken King and defeated Oryx and got Touch of Malice together. We played through Rise of Iron and defeated Aksis. We then pre-ordered Destiny 2 and watched the trailer and were psyched to play it with each other. We were Destiny buddies through and through. But...after that...things changed. We no longer did things together. And suddenly, he left. No more Destiny buddies. No more Raiding. No more Nightfalls. No more Iron Banner. No playing the Destiny 2 Beta together. If anything, that is what I'll miss the most. We were Destiny buddies. We were friends. Destiny was our game. Now...my Destiny buddy is gone and the game seems lackluster. If I could play with him again, that would be amazing. But I have been rambling on for too long. Thank you for listening to my story. Eyes up, Guardian.

I'm confused, if your best friend started Destiny with you and no longer plays, why don't you play other games together? Or, you know, hang out in real life. Did he die? If not, maybe you've just got yourself a shitty friend. It's best to weed through them early in life anyhow.
