A few months ago, my Destiny stopped working.
When I put the disc in, it doesn't register as if I have the full game. Instead, I am greeted by the Trial Period screen. All other disks work fine with my Xbox One and the Destiny disc reads normally when I put it into other devices. I've reinstalled the game twice but it hasn't worked.
I finally gave up last month and decided to re-buy the game as a digital copy, but since I already have all the expansions etc. I don't feel like buying everything again.
Could there be a way to fix this issue?

Is auto-play of discs enabled on your console? If so, does the game start by itself when you insert the Destiny disc, or do you need to launch it manually? The disc acts as the license for the base game. If the console can't detect or has trouble reading the disc at startup, it will go into trial mode. If auto-play doesn't work with Destiny, is there anybody you could borrow a disc from to see if another disc will start the game when it is inserted?
