Why is everyone complaining that d2 is a d1 reskin? Bungie probably has alot of things up there sleeve for d2, the gameplay premere wasn't supposed to show everything. "A lot of the guns are reskined", remember that there is a whole new gun system. "I'm not paying for the dlc's because they are way too expensive ", the dlcs could contain BIG changes. "Arkstrider is bladedancer with a stick", the whole subclass system got changed, and you can do freaking flips. "Destiny 2s pvp is trash", if you guys didn't notice the pve maps where GREATLY larger, and there is an actual story, and the 2nd dlc looks like the trials symbol, so the dlc might include something.

Because it is, but worse. 2 subclasses again, same enemies, same grind, worse pvp, worse weapon system, worse subclass system, microtransactions, and no new classes. It practically is a reskin, with a 2 slapped on and the kind of story we should've had in the first place
-
The whole game is being balanced around pvp, that's the problem, that pve players have anyhow. Never once have I said "man I wish I had another primary" or "damn I wish they would get rid of intellect, discipline and strength" either. Most of the players speaking up are pve players that are tired of the mindless boring grind we r left with bc pvp has taken out the fun.

All the guns looked pretty new to me.
-
Because it's a sequel. Halo 3 is totally a reskin of 2.
-
all you said sounds like the same thing we were promised before Destiny 1 was released and look at all the problems came from that. the story got gutted content was cut out and released later as DLC guns nerfed to the point they weren't even useful anymore large maps were removed from regular rotation in crucible changing from CBMM to SBMM you honestly can't blame people for expecting a horrible product after the last 3 years with what Bungie has done
-
Tl:dr Waaah waaaah, I like the look of the new game and they don't, waaaaaaaah.

slurp slurp take my money Bungie If you liked the past 12 months of D1 you probably will like D2. I personally expected dramatic and fundamental change and improvements beyond "freakin flips", bigger maps, and more cut scenes. Also, if you think there are more things up their sleeve, like more improvements, I wouldn't get my hopes up. Any marketing expert will tell you that you put your best foot forward on a product reveal, especially when it drops just a few months later (September). You show what you want everyone to be writing about and talking about for the next few months. Trust me they showed their hand at the live stream, and the biggest innovative change I saw was.....wait for it....being able to enter new activities without going to orbit. OMG game changer. If you are buying D2 because you saw a flip, because you believe it was necessary to change a gun system that wasn't even a problem, if you think more cutscenes means a better game, and because of a trials emblem on a DLC, then great. I'll continue to have low expectations and maintain that this looks like what the past couple of additions to D1 were, money grabs and lazy development. Honestly you should expect more after over 2 years to make D2 and after using us as guinea pigs for 3 years.

Wow, you went out your way to say
nothing
. Let bungie speak (won't) and stop trying to speak for them. Lot a maybes you got going here.
-
cry babies should shut the fu k up before they ruin the game already with their nerfs

The thing is, no matter what Bungie shows us, we can't be certain that that is what will come to fruition come September 8th. Remember when they told us that all the background was playable geometry, we could head over to mountains in the distance, in an immersive world and cinematic story? None of which made it to launch. Now, it would seem foolish and highly unlikely for Bungie to do the same things over again, but we can't exactly take their word for all the shiny things they've shown us, either. Throughout Destiny 1, they've always advertised improvents to story, where only TTK showed some improvement, albeit leading to a somewhat short and anticlimactic ending. We can't say that Destiny 2 has a better story simply by seeing parts of the first mission or from anecdotes. It's good to be optimistic for the future, but don't take everything Bungie has shown us as set in stone.
