“Just so you know, Kabr is intense sometimes, and Praedyth is. Well, Praedyth is a member of the Future War Cult.” Pahanin explained to me as we traveled back to the Tower. “Kabr wants to go into the Vault to vanquish the Vex and to learn more about them. I’m going because they need help, but I think Praedyth is trying to discover the future. The Warlocks say that the Vex control time inside the Vault of Glass, and the Future War Cult is keen on that idea.”
“Do we know exactly what we’re going up against?” Jade asked.
“Kabr is the one who would know.” Pahanin replied. “Like I said, I know pretty much nothing about the Vault of Glass. I’m going to help them and get some good loot.”
After sitting in silence for a while, I finally asked, “So, tell me about yourself, Pahanin. What were you before you were a Guardian?”
“Well, there’s not much to tell. Most of us Guardians were already dead when our Ghosts first revive us. We have no idea of our past. I can tell you what I was before this hunt though. I’ve been a lone wolf out in the wilds. No friends, just me, my Ghost, and Super Good Advice. What about you?”
“Well, I wasn’t dead when Jade found me. I was actually adopted by Shin Malphur when my parents were killed by Dredgen Yor. Well, my mom mainly. My dad was already gone, and I never really knew him. Mom always told me that she was taken away from him just a few months before I was born. She was planning on finding him, but then I was born. Anyway, Shin found me right after he killed Dredgen Yor. I was there when it happened. He took me in under his wing from when I was six years old.”
“I actually met Shin. He was looking for his wife, and he asked me if I saw a group of Fallen Devils taking a group of people away. He said that one of them was his wife and that she was pregnant. He described her as having red hair.”
I lost my breath. “My mother was captured by Fallen Devils, and she had red hair. And she gave birth to me just after some Guardians freed her.” I couldn’t believe it. All this time, I thought that I was adopted by Shin, but I guess our relationship was more than adoptive. “I wonder if Shin knew I was his daughter.”
“Who knows. You could’ve looked like her, which is why Shin kept you.”
“I hope so.”
Shortly after that, we arrived at the Tower. “We need to pick up some ammo synths in case we run out of ammo. We’ll go as soon as we get them.”
Pahanin and I walked over to Banshee-44, and we found Kabr and Praedyth there as well. “Kabr! Praedith! Good to see you! I’ve got someone else to help us on our mission. This is Pari.”
“Good to see you Pari.” Kabr greeted. “Few people wanted to help us once they learned of the true dangers of the Vault of Glass. Praedyth and Pahanin are the only two that have agreed to stick with me.”
“Seems like everyone who wants to help you Kabr has a name that begins with a ‘P.’” Praedyth joked.
“I guess you’re right, Praedyth. As long as I have a team, we can defeat the Vex. If only Osiris was here.”
“I know we’d all love that kook here, Kabr, but he said that he’d never join your legion.” Pahanin added
“He has a reason for that. My last legion died right in front of me. Those Hive didn’t last much longer.”
“Well, we won’t fail you, Kabr.” I said trying to comfort him. “We will only fall if you fall with us!”
“Thank you, Pari. Good to know we have someone like you in our legion.”
Kabr was right. We were a legion, but how I wish I could take those last words back. We would all eventually fall in that cursed Vault of Glass.

Hate to be nit picky but why does pahanin have the super good advice? He didn't make it until he can out of the vault as the sole survivor, and it was from the evil he saw that he made it. A gun with a smart a.i. a gun.thst would never leave him, a way of never being alone again. Unless I missed something he shouldn't have made it yet...
