In this video I talk about the only reason I believe Sony will continue winning with PS4.
Do you think Microsoft can catch up to Sony with the help of Project Scorpio?
Please, enjoy the video! (:

I don't want either console to "win" or "beat" the other. Competition forces them to constantly keep improving and trying to make a better console. If the Scorpio is a total powerhouse, this means Sony will try and one up Microsoft. And if they do that, Microsoft will try and one up them.
-
What qualifies as winning? Sales? Why do we care about the profits of these giant corporations? What matters is product. If people enjoy a product, why should sales influence their opinion? So one music artist makes more money than another confirms they make the better product? No. Just a more popular product. Xbox will definitely not beat the sales of the ps4 for a very long time, and I couldn't care less. Neither should anyone. What really matters is the enjoyment you get from such entertainment. Leave the whole "console wars" to the businesses.

Not sure. In fact I'm not sure if that's Microsoft's goal. I don't get their goal too be honest. It appears they're going down this route of trying to rebrand the Xbox as something like an Apple product you'll incrementally upgrade more often and the software will carry over. Microsoft's greatest weakness if the leadership has never seemed to been able to grasp that people buy video game consoles for video games. Their output of exclusives on the Xbox One has remained frankly pathetic compared to Sony and Nintendo. The console can have all the bells and whistles. But if all they can say is "Halo! Gears of War! Forza!" for the 10th year in a row then who really cares?
-
Who... who cares? Seriously, who the hell cares? How does this matter in any way?
-
In sales? No In best console to play games? Yes
-
I hope Sony won't panic and release another console for another 2-3 years. I want next gens, if there will be next gens, to get it right. The original PS4 and Xbox One were woefully underpowered. Next gen consoles should be able to run 1080p 60 fps at minimum, no problem, and native 4k 30 fps at max.
-
Scorpio will drop the gravestone on the hole.
-
First impressions are important man and they really messed up introducing this generation. The Scorpio will maybe sell more if it's fairly priced, but they won't "beat" them.
-
Xbox Scorpio is just a stronger console but a stronger console with no new games is just as bland as the Xbox 1. PS4 will still lead
-
Probably, unless Bloodborne 2 is announced that is. I kid, I kid.
-
There is no beat... only. Upgrades. Scorpio owners win reguardless if sales are good or not.

Edited by puppyk1sses: 5/31/2017 4:16:51 PMMS is currently miles behind Sony is the "console wars". It's not even close. In order to beat someone, you have to catch them first. This might close the gap a bit, but it won't do much. Players want games, and PlayStation has the games. This is a Xbox -biased forum, so the answers you will get here are of course biased. I'm talking worldwide, where Xbox is getting crushed.
-
Nothing will beat PS4 this year. Sony has all the marketing deals that matter. Which means they will be able to bundle those games with PS4/pro. And Xbox won't be able to. Also they don't seem to be getting any big time exclusive games like Sony does and devs still want to work with PS4 more.

What does Vault-Tec have to do with this?

So the Scorpio wont be held back by the one at least not by Microsoft, the developers have full autonomy when it comes to creating the games for the system at hand. Microsoft has confirmed this multiple times especially when it has come to destiny 2. The main reason why i believe it just might is due to the shear power it will actually have, and that this is the first step in the right direction to formally make the Xbox console system into an easily customization system sooner rather than later. Many consumers will inevitably purchase the Scorpio as soon as it goes on sale, and others will wait to hear and test it before diving into the most likely expensive purchase. But all in all this console will surpass even some PC (all be it the not high end ones) with its gaming prowess. I just hope that Microsoft will keep pushing the veil on console gaming and finally par us with PC just with a controller.
-
I was a fan of the idea of the Scorpio but I can see that the way they are going about it will make it flop if it's held back by the one and the PS4 and just running the same game there will be no point of having the extra power if it has its own games that make use of that power it will be worth it but if not why buy a new system to run a choppy 30 FPS

Can you smell what they're cooking? E3 comes...
boom, oculus support on scorpio, anyways definitely something new 1st party stuff, they've been too quiet...
-
They will sell it but most console owners will not be purchasing it.
-
Only if it has more games. When it comes to consoles hardware is secondary, number of games is primary.

Bump, anyone? (:
