Black Spindle Mission
Does anybody know why I wouldn't be able to do the Black Spindle mission? I load up "Lost to Light" on heroic and do the normal thing, but when I get to the door, it tells me to scan it. Ghost then says, "The Fallen left their dirty fingerprints all over this door. I wonder what they're up to? We just missed them." And that's it. It won't allow me to proceed like it normally would. Am I doing something wrong or or is it back to waiting for a certain weekly thing again? Any actual help would be appreciated!

There is a time limit on the doors now and it's pretty short. Unfortunately you'll just have to make it a bit quicker. Good luck!

All these things I've done. We haven't died therefore no wipe. We run passed all the enemies on the way there. I'm at 400 light so it's not taking much to kill enemies. So I still don't understand why the door leading to the lift isn't open. I've never seen it before

you can also get the black spindle to drop from 390 crota's end raid, but its rare. That being said, once you start the mission there is no time limit to get to the door you just cannot die, i can say that for certain cause when i got it the group just waded through the enemies slowly killing them all to avoid death by rushing and we still got there. The timer only starts once you go up the lift into the ship. Could also be a glitch, all you can really do is keep doing the mission without dying and hope it fixes itself. Also just double check that you are on heroic each time.

2 RepliesSeems you gotta get there quicker. Most people claim it is either 8 mins from starting mission or 4 mins from when you steal shard. Also, you cant wipe or you'll have to restart the mission.

Don't die and be faster, those are really the only tips to be given. Don't fight the enemies on the way back, run through them. Only kill what needs to be killed.

15 RepliesYou can't die (or wipe if a fireteam) prior to reaching the door up to the Ketch or the door will not be open. Then upon opening the last door into the Ketch (as with the Taniks strike) you have 10 minutes to complete the mission.
