So in the gameplay reveal and the Destiny Devs talking about the game, they say the traveler is caged, and nobody can use the light, their abilities. They can't even walk. We see Zavala crippled and sitting down because of this. But yet, we see our guardians well after the first mission it seems using their abilities, and even gaining new ones. Remember in year 1 destiny, the Exo Stranger? She wielded abilities far beyond the light ever gifted. What if Guardians learned to wield what she is made from (presumably darkness) and are using that to free the traveler? Plus, the darkness could have transformed their original classes. The gameplay reveal showed the warlock having angel of light but using the flame sword not too long later. The darkness maybe manipulates their original classes so that the Solar class becomes greater, and same for the Void Titan and Arc Hunter. Finally, maybe this is more machinery, but they also gain a special ability where it's like a grenade or melee attack, but not quite as small, but its also not as big as a super. The Titan can throw down a shield and the Warlock can heal. Maybe another effect of the darkness or warped power? What do you think? Please bump if you like!
