I, like others bought the "Legendary Edition" DLC from the Microsoft Store on my Xbox Three-Sixty - which failed to work. I, as well as other Destiny Players were unaware of the transition to Xbox One, thus the DLC was rendered useless on the Xbox Three-Sixty. Now, having splashed out Sterling: Two hundred and Eighty-Nine pounds for a new Xbox One, and crossing all the data from my Xbox Three-Sixty over to my Xbox One, have found the "Legendary Edition DLC" missing from "My Games & Apps".
Contacting Microsoft, they told me that because I bought - though NEVER activated - The Legendary Edition for Sterling: thirty-seven pounds from my Xbox Three-Sixty, the ball is in Bungie's Court, as to send me a Redeem Code or, alternatively, I will have to Purchase the "Legendary Edition" again! This is never going to happen, however, as I have already purchased it once, but never activated it. And, considering that it would give me "The Taken King" part of the continuing saga, why buy a game twice?
I would really like to get in touch with Bungie, or know how anyone else in the same boat as me got this sorted out - if they got it sorted out - because the way I see it, Bungie are quite clever collecting money from those who keep them in Jobs and Business (lucrative business at that, too) but are unreachable when it comes to problems.
As I have been waiting for so long to get my Xbox One console, I have been pretty absent to "Destiny" and to be honest the novelty is wearing thin. So, my advice to people just joining the ranks of a once Great Rated game - which it bloody was in the beginning - make sure that you're not being misguided, miss-sold, or even duped out of handing over your money to have the fun shattered.
Of course, should the reimbursement or rectification of this problem be sorted out with the creators, then I will endeavor to continue my adventures and better my skills on Destiny, but until then, I am officially raising an issue with Bungie.

Edited by Eriena: 5/14/2017 2:15:51 PMThe only things that would have transferred from your Xbox 360 to your Xbox One is The Dark Below expansion and the House of Wolves expansion. The Taken King was never apart of the digital upgrade program and does not transfer console generations for free. Also the base game does not transfer. If you wish to play Destiny on your Xbox One including Rise of Iron then the best option would be the purchase Destiny: The Collection which includes the Base game and all expansions. Anything to do with licenses and content not working would be down to Microsoft to fix as all licenses are controlled by them.

Edited by ADragonWithin: 5/14/2017 2:24:19 PMPurchasing the license for the Xbox Three-Sixty does not entitle you to the license for the Xbox One. The licenses are two separate things. If you want to use your purchase for the Xbox Three-Sixty towards the license purchase for the Xbox One, then you need to inquire to the retailer that you purchased it from about a refund and then put that refund towards the purchase of Destiny: The Collection on the Xbox One. Bungie is not the retailer you purchased it from; Bungie is not liable for any refund you are desiring, nor will Bungie transfer your license purchase from one console to the other for Destiny - The Taken King - Legendary Edition, as neither The Taken King DLC nor the Destiny base game are part of the freebie upgrade program that they offered; only Expansion One, The Dark Below, and Expansion Two, House of Wolves, were part of that. For a limited time, the digital license for the Destiny base game was part of it, but it had to be purchased during a specific time window. So, again, any ability concerning transferring your unused license from the Xbox Three-Sixty to the Xbox One will be through requesting a refund from the retailer you purchased it from and then using that towards the purchase of the license for the Xbox One. If the retailer refuses to give you a refund because you are no longer covered under their refund policy, then that's still entirely between you and the retailer; Bungie will not give you the license you're after for free.

You weren't mis-sold anything. Bungie never said that the entire game would transfer for free to the Xbox One/PS4. Yes you're expected to buy it again because you don't own the game licenses for the One; you only own them for the 360.
