Simple question.
Destiny has these amazing soundtracks that put other video game soundtracks to shame (COUGH Halo 5 COUGH).
But what year had the best Soundtrack? Nostalgic year one? Dark year 2? Rock and roll Sepiks Redux?
Personally, I love all of them!
You?

Last stand and regicide. Oryx had some of the best themes in my opinion.
OPINION
The sepiks theme is really top notch, but I also loved the doom trombone every time I loaded the game during the taken king.

Honestly the vanilla soundtrack had the most original sound to it and most overwhelming tone and theme of wow I'm playing destiny.. I feel like as the years have gone by they've added more horns in each song which gives a louder song hoping for an anthem but I think they need to focus more on the original sounds. So the Martin O'Donnell original soundtrack was indeed the best But all of them are good nonetheless

I like them all. I prefer a lot of the year 1 and 2 tracks compared to year 3

The dark and ominous TTK tracks and the orchestral ROI tracks remind me why I stuck around for so long. "Regicide" is one hell of a track! Not to mention "Iron Temple" and "Ad Victoriam" But the greatest piece of music for me is when you grab the sword while fighting Crota. That combined with being the swordbearer gives me the adrenaline to to almost anything the game can throw at me.

Regicide takes the cake tbh

Music of the Spheres ..oh. Wait...

I liked Year 3 for its traditional Orchestral style. I really liked "Eyes Up" and "Young Wolf".

two words: last array.
-
My favorite is the taken King, mainly the regicide track

Year 3: "Young Wolf" hands down (I'm a week one Guardian)
-
Year 1 is still my favorite, followed by the RoI OST
-
Year one had many memorable ones, like my personal favorite, Atheon's theme. It also had the elusive Psion Flayers theme and End of the Line. Year 2 included TDB (meh OST) and HoW (kickass OST). It fit perfectly with the tone. The Taken were a powerful supernatural force of darkness, so the theme was dark and epic. Year 3 had triumphant music, like Eye's Up. Considering the huge library it had, Year 1 will probably be my favorite until at least Destiny 2's base OST.
