In summary:
A wide range of great PvP rolls this week, but unfortunately nothing that really stands out on the PvE end of the spectrum. I'd argue this week's Palindrome is probably the best one that's ever been sold. Also a good week for any avid Scout Rifle users, with a bunch of solid rolls. The Wounded is still going strong, and I have yet to see a bad roll for that gun. Any fans of the low RoF Pulse Rifle will love this week's Parthian Shot, as it comes with a great roll for both PvP and PvE. Unfortunately, a pretty bad week for heavies, as not a single one stood out to me, and even the Bonekruscher, a weapon which has had pretty consistent rolls, is sub par this week.
Note:
This ranking is based off of the vendor weapons and the vendor weapons alone. It does not take weapons from other sources into account. For example, I would definitely use Fatebringer over this week's vendor Wail. However, this list is for players who may not be a high enough light to complete endgame content, or for players who are just looking to switch up their loadout.

This week's Warpath isn't bad. I have a similar roll I love to use in place of Gally sometimes but it's arc.
-
Just wondering, does explosive rounds add more damage to a single target? Sometimes I've been seeing two numbers pop up but it could be because of splash damage on an enemy I couldn't see.

IMO: Hero Formula - The roll is really nice, but this archetype of scout is a 24 karat nightmare to try to get kills with in PvP. You need a ton of crits, and most of the time, the target simply ducks for cover before you can finalize the transaction. The Palindrome - One of the best rolls possible for this gun. Since you can't roll rifled, Rangefinder, LitC on this gun, this is the most complete choice for beneficial perks; the only other contender would be Icarus, Rifled Barrel, and LitC, which is possible. The only negative: Sure Shot sights instead of True Sight. 44 Curtain Call - A great roll, particularly with Kneepads; Kneepads make this Buick feel more like a Cadallac. Reinforced Barrel may end up getting you killed though, since the recoil might make a follow-up shot or melee harder to land. Anton's Rule - People will disagree with me on this, but this archetype is one of the least consistent in PvP. It has a huge rate of fire, meaning the recoil can get out of hand and it's hard to maximize the shots per minute well. I'll take a decent Wormwood over a god rolled Anton's almost any day. Event Horizon - I love this roll (although I can't recall the scopes). Perfect Balance keeps you more on target for follow-ups, Hidden Hand adds to the already decent AA, and S&P makes downtime very minimal. If you need a good sniper setup, this is a great one to try out. Parthian Shot - Ah, the Parthian Shot...on paper, it looks like such a great choice. 2-bursts, huge range, massive flinch. In reality, the gun almost never lands the 2-burst kill, and it is abysmally bad in close range, forcing you to use a shotgun, fusion, or sidearm, often. I rate this gun as better at PvE than PvP, unless you can get high stability and Headseker to round out the 2-bursts a bit more often. Good roll, just a gun that I'm not sure I can recommend over a Nirwen's or Hopscotch. Angel's Advocate - Buy this gun if you like PvP scouts, hands down. It's one of the scouts in the Build-Your-Own-Mida-Kit archetype, and it's one of the most competitive in my opinion. I actually encourage Rodeo (for once), since it's function is to reduce the recoil in -any- direction by a flat percentage. Coupled with Hidden Hand and HLS, this thing will be super stupid and easy to use. The Waiting - Skip this roll. Before anyone screams, I have to say I don't like the way you are forced to choose between the much-needed stability boost, and Kneepads (arguably one of the best mechanical perks on a fusion). It's got a lot of great things, but the fact that you have to give some of them up for others is a turn-off for me. Accelerated coils is also a bummer, since it makes this a 5-bolt kill, rather than a 4. The Wounded - I want to love this gun every time I see one, and so far, I haven't. This is a really bouncy scout (almost Jade Rabbit level recoil, stock), and it required a great stability boost to be solid in PvP. I have some with nearly identical rolls, and it just doesn't hold up to some of my Cryptics and other past scouts. Good archetype, but the roll isn't there for PvP for me. The Wormwood - The reigning king of the sidearm court, the Wormwood has a great perk pool. This basically results in there being so few terrible rolls on them that most of them are pretty good. Think of this a Last Word you can carry in reserve, and you're about there. But with better range and stability. The perk combo is about the baseline of what makes a good sidearm, and it will serve you well. That being said, I'm sure most people are like me and have sharded about 30 nearly identical rolls in the last few months. Pick it up if you don't have a solid sidearm, pass if you do. Thanks for putting up a recommendations post, I hope I haven't offended too much by adding my 2 PvP cents.

Edited by dnrobs: 5/3/2017 3:54:44 PMThat bitter egged with short gaze, snapshot, hidden hand. Great for sniper starters with nearly a 100 aim assist.best in sixes though.

Parthian shot and palindrome are the only two that need to be on the list. By the way, palindrome with explosive rounds is far better than with rifle barrel.… No damage fall off on explosive damage. At maximum damage fall off on a rifle barrel palindrome, explosive round palindrome deals 200% of the damage on body shots, and 160% of the damage on head shots vs rifled barrel.

I just looked into that wail and it looks pretty snappy with versatility in PvE and PvP. The alternative perk which I'd use more over perfect balance is hot swap which would fit with quick draw and the quick draw IS sight
-
Can not go wrong with Dead 💀 Orbit Scout rifle, highest impact (61)of all vendor scouts....with explosive rounds. For those who are not aware, explosive rounds are awesome for knocking away Cabal Phalanx shields and can eat away enemies elemental shields quicker.A nice alternative if you don't have any elemental primaries in your arsenal.
-
That vendor Palindrome is awesome, but in reality, Icarus is only going to help you if you're good at jump shots. How many of us are good at jump shots with a hand cannon? Not many lol. Time to practice.
-
I will noy buy Palindrome, just because)
-
That looks like a real nice roll on that palindrome. Does it have sureshot?
-
Bump for later
-
the fusion rifle "each new day" has a good roll aswell
-
Just did a Combined Arms match. The Parthian Shot for this week works pretty good. Very smooth.
-
Don't waste your time with the free will. Its low impact. Low impact hand cannons are literal trash.
-
Meh, I'll keep my Outlaw/Rifled Barrel/Rangefinder Palindrome, thank you very much.
-
wanted to make a joke about how there shouldn't be any special weapons on the PVP list, but it's stale a pointless at this point :(
-
I thought onto dust from dead orbit was a good pve rocket launcher. Tracking, javelin, field scout and hard launch.
-
That Parthian shot should be probably on top of your list as that's about the best roll you can find. The palindrome mehhh with all of the good rolls that have been sold it's kinda like ok which one do I prefer. If I had to pick probably the original vendor or this weeks one but the reactive reload one is really good too.
-
The Parthian Shot this week is even better than the one I used in one of my videos. It has slightly more stability but it makes the difference. Get it if you like Pulses, it's so good.

Great... More stuff for Gary to blow up in a few months.

That Waiting ❤️ RIP special ammo

Sigh I've had that palindrome roll, except I can switch icarus for hot swap, for about a month. And I never use it. I probably would use it more if the design didn't look like dog shit and have that butt-ugly color scheme, but I choose fashion over function every time, because -blam!- it that's why.
-
Jesus Christ that Palindrome!
-
Palindrome, parthian shot. Nothing else worth it.
