"No sudden movements, outsider." One of Mara Sov's servants said, pointing a gun to BraveCole's back.
"Relax, relax. I'm only here to offer the dear Queen a gift. Trust me." He said, smiling.
"And your gift could be a bomb of some sort. We don't trust you just yet." Another one said, toting a sidearm.
"I have no desire to harm anyone in the reef. Just wanna speak to Mara So-"
The Reef agent shoved the barrel of her gun into BraveCole's side rather forcefully. "Do not address her majesty by her full name, outsider."
"Ouch." BraveCole said plainly, rubbing his side. "Okay, fine. I'll just call her Mara."
BraveCole and the two agents came into the Queen's throne room, where she sat along side her brother. The agents motioned for BraveCole to step forward and speak. He cleared his throat and hesitated, taking a few steps.
"It looks nervous, brother. Has it seen a ghost?" Mara Sov spoke, her sultry voice echoing throughout the room.
"Maybe the poor bastard just hasn't had the pleasure of being in the company of royalty. Don't worry, everyone g-"
"No, no. It's not that, it's just.. Your grace, you look rather.. Uncomfortable on that throne of yours." BraveCole started. "It's making me feel kinda sorry, your back must ache something serious."
Mara Sov raised an eyebrow, and shifted a little. "It's undeniably bold. What brings it to the reef?"
"I wanted to offer you something. A new throne. That one seems kinda outdated." BraveCole crossed his arms.
Prince Uldren put a hand on his blade and growled. "You dare insult the throne of the awoken queen..!?"
"Didn't insult. Simply stating facts. I can see the leather ripping apart from here, dude. Let's be real."
Uldren was ready to shoot BraveCole where he stood, but was stopped by his sister.
"I will accept it's.. Gift. Tell me.. Where is this 'throne'?" Mara Sov asked.
"Hehe. Glad you asked, sweetheart." BraveCole took his right hand and pointed directly toward his face.
"Your.. Face?" Uldren asked, utterly baffled.
"My face." BraveCole responded.
Silence ensued throughout the room. Not a word was uttered, and breathing was at a minimum. Mara Sov was not entertained in the slightest.
"Hm. I want it dead. I want it dead now. Guards," She waved her hand, through with the situation.
The agents took BraveCole by the arms and began dragging him violently.
"H-Hey, wait! Come on, Mara! You didn't even try it out! You at least gotta- ouch! Shit!"
One of the guards struck BraveCole upside the head, to shut him up.
"You've said enough. Keep quiet." One of the guards said.
"The next thing that I should hear from you is your agonizing screams when we execute you." The other said.
"Execute me? I'm a guardian. I'm immortal." BraveCole smirked.
The awoken guards stopped, still holding on to BraveCole. They looked toward the queen for guidance.
"He's right. Guardians can't simply be killed. They have those annoying little robots that give them 'get out of jail' free cards. Makes them all the more reckless if you ask me." Uldren scoffed. "Hand over your little device, at once."
BraveCole shrugged. "You heard 'em, Becky. Go on."
Becky then materialized from thin air and floated over toward Uldren.
"I surrender." She spoke.
Uldren was quite surprised at how easily they submitted, but paid it no mind. No one disrespected his sister, and he wanted the guardian to face capital punishment in the reef.
"Take him to cells. I sentence him to death in the Prison." Uldren said. "Remove all of his weapons. Let him keep his armor, though. I want him to feel the utter hopelessness when the thrall are ripping it off of him." Uldren gave a sadistic smile, while Mara Sov still kept a plain gaze. There was more than meets the eye to this guardian, she just knew it.
"You're sentencing me to the Prison of Elders? You.. You monster!" BraveCole shouted, comically and dramatically.
The guards then dragged him out of the throne room, and towards his certain doom.
Becky, still floating innocently, turned toward Uldren and the Queen.
"You guys wanna hear a pun?"
-------------------------------------------------------------------
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHH- OOF! -blam!-!" BraveCole impacted the cold hard ground as he fell into the Prison. He got up and looked around as he heard the voice of The Warden himself.
"Prison of Elders welcomes you, Guardian.." Variks snarled. "You are sentenced to death, yesssss? So is every other prisonerrrrrr.... Fight. Win. Liiiiiiiveeee.."
"Gonna be hard without any weapons," BraveCole thought out loud. "But if this plan goes the way I want it to, I won't need any weapons. Let's just hope that they'll listen to me.."
A door then opened up and Variks spoke once more. "You face the bonewalkers. The light eaters of the Hiiiveee.."
"The Hive?" BraveCole whispered to himself, annoyed. "No, no. Fallen. I need to speak with the god damn Fallen.."
"Rain-drop. Come in, Rain-drop." Becky's voice sounded throughout the coms in Brave's helmet.
"Can hear you loud and clear, Drop-top. What's your status?"
"The awoken have stored me in some sort of electrical container. Mind you, I'm not trapped, but I'd like to appear that way until I know the plan is going accordingly."
"Almost. They're pitting me against the Hive instead of the Fallen, which could mean trouble. The Hive in the prison are pretty tenacious, and it'll be hard fighting them off without a gun or two. And if I die.."
"I know. But you didnt expect this to be easy, right?" Becky said. "This is the only lead we have on her, Brave. You have to do this. I.. I believe in you."
BraveCole smiled, as he thought in his head. "You're right. For her."
The doors opened up, and the hallway to the Hive's chambers were littered with old bones and ripped guardian armor.
BraveCole's fists clenched as Variks announced his fate.
