Haven't these things been around since Day 1? I've seen so many sticky nade rants recently, and yes, their use has escalated quite a bit, but why are people just now complaining? Has everyone run out of stuff to complain about? Hell, if I get stuck, then so be it, I'll swap to them and hurl that shit too! Who cares?!
-
no people have been complaining since day one wtf was bungie thinkin im amazed they didnt become an issue sooner...
-
Because almost everybody had started using them because of the lack of special ammo.
-
Because of power creep and the fact that you can completely miss your target and your sticky will curve and stick them

Edited by Bb®: 4/21/2017 2:27:13 AMThis is like mida being op. It was never an issue until 2 ish years into the game, and since ~5 in every 6 people were using it cuz it was a reliable exotic, it got nerfed cuz "too many people are using it, ergo it must be too powerful and therefore a crutch". Anyone that used it (or even died to it) would argue its "op"ness

Whether we like it or not, 90% of the Crucible community are sheep. They don't stick with any particular loadout, they just flock to different guns (or abilities) with each new balance patch that are the easiest to kill. Stickies were never really worth using. Snipers were better. Then shotguns were better. And so on, so forth. Then we get special ammo taken away, and primaries nerfed (again), and what do you expect? People still are going to use the crappy sniper we're left with (IB) or sidearms if they're brave enough, but neither of those can kill like even old primaries could. Shotguns got nerfed and any other specials that might have taken their place got removed from viability, especially in Trials. (where the most sticky spam happens) I can give Bungie a little credit for foresight (it's the only explanation for the beating that Blade took) but they're still just pounding the game into the ground with all these nerfs. Foresight is nice, but you have to have vision.

No need to nerf damage. A hit kill grenade should not perform like it does.

The people that always complain should find a new game.
-
sticky nades have always been a topic of discussion same with these post about people saying just now they're a problem
-
Nerf everything but sticky grenades = Buff sticky grenades. The special ammo nerf pretty much eliminated everything that can really compete with stickies. In effect, it buffed them through the roof. Hence increased use, and increased complaints.
-
Eeeehm. I complained about stickies before it was mainstream.......
-
All these casuals asking "what's wrong with sticky grenades?" You wouldn't understand if you don't play competitively.
-
Ikr. it's laughable tbh.
-
They aren't a problem.
-
PVP players like to whinge. It seems to follow a pattern - die, rant and rave, go on to forums and whinge. Adapt doesn't seem to be an option. Have fun and may RNG be forever in your favor.
-
Because before you could kill somebody so fast it didn't matter. With these longer engagements, it's more frustrating to he somebody low to have them duck out and throw a sticky last second to where you normally would have won the fight
-
Stickies aren't a problem. People not able to adapt or adjust are. They know all game long if someone has stickies and rather than find a counter they want you to stop using them. Meantime they are using every ability they have and they feel justified in doing that. COMEDY
-
They've always been a problem
-
Stickies only became a problem when other shit got nerfed. When you used a sticky in year 1, it was because you probably had a crap loadout and just needed to cheese through games. Now, it's a playstyle, people live and breathe sticky nades. I don't mind them but they have always been cheap, since day 1.
-
Personally Ive been complaining about them since I started playing- the fact that they have no counter and are so easy to use shouldnt be a thing.
-
Special ammo is the real reason for the rise of stickies. A lot of the small team based games like too or skirmish are about winning your ones shotguns were the best method close range but with the lack of special ammo stickies are the next best thing.
