Let's flip this though.
Let's say Netflix offers a new premium channel that for a price of $60 you get access to a show they are working on with Joss Whedon.
He is bringing back Firefly and the whole cast, minus Wash and Book. Following their continuing adventures after Serenity and also you could pay an extra $40 for the 3rd season. If you decided to wait the price would jump to $60 before release.
You know the characters but nothing about what they would face.
Would you be willing to take a chance on a franchise you enjoyed?

Bad analogy, it's not like you get a discount for a preorder. You get early access to the open beta, which is a silly preorder bonus since you should be using the beta to see if your interested in the game. If you pay more you get some cosmetic items, yay. A better anolagy would be if you preorder you can watch the show two days early and Nathan will wear different boots.

Let me know which Destiny DLC was $20 by itself and get back to me. I'll wait.
Do you think that will change?
Nope. I love Joss Whedon but I don't pre-order without some level of detail.

It's all good then. While I don't agree with you I respect you sticking to your guns which is more important. Have a great day.

Cheers! You as well. I sincerely hope Bungie takes the high road and releases the details that will appeal to people like me. I like Bungie but they made enough large mistakes with years 1-3 that I cannot reward them strictly on faith.

I enjoyed year 1, played year 2 because of my group of friends but year 3 really seemed like the were firing on all cylinders. I'm hopeful that Destiny 2 continues that trend. I plopped money down on good faith. Sadly no other franchise currently out or coming soon makes it so I can easily enjoy roaming with others. Borderlands 2 does but most of my friends cannot get past the art style and enjoy the meat and potatoes of how great it is. That may be what is drawing me to D2 more than anything. When I want to enjoy a world by myself I'll play HZD or Skyrim. When I want to share a world there really is only one game to do it in.

I can respect that position.
