When people say don't per-order is so developers don't get lazy before the game is releases/alpha access and run off with the money
H1Z1 and DayZ are clear examples of this. How long have they been on Alpha? For years now? And the game quality deters with every update.
Or if they do update their games, it takes forever and at times doesn't even work. Planet side 2 on console is another example.

Ok come on, AC Syndicate was pretty awesome... And I may be wrong on this but wasn't andromeda given a specific deadline to release by? And they're updating the game every couple of weeks now as well so the hideous glitches should be somewhat fixed now... it's not like they're not trying... (Though I don't know, I don't have it but I have a friend who plays it quite a lot and I talk to them generally almost every day).

Ok I know andromeda launched poorly but syndicate was alright. Unity, yeah that launched pretty badly, I was lucky as I came across few glitches but I don't remember syndicate having any or many glitches or problems when it launched... I think the only real problem with syndicate was that a lot of people who bought it a week or so later were skeptical about how good it could be considering the failures of the previous game...

You forgot Batman Arkham Knight, that was a total gong show... not to mention Sim City and Watch Dogs. I actually liked Mass Effect Andromeda, and at least EA is trying to fix it, but yeah that was some pretty shady crap on their part effectively charging us full price at retail for what is really an early access game... not cool. Bungie still takes the cake though, breaking up the original game into 3 "expansions" and re-packaging it at full price.... we should have had everything pre-RoI in the original $60 (more like $100 for me after taxes yay Canada) deal.
