• If you're going to put in the effort to insult someones intelligence, at the very least try mastering some basic writing skills first....

 • Pointing out grammatical errors instead of addressing someones point makes you look even more stupid and petty

 • On the contrary, if you're questioning someone else's intelligence, and you can't even get basic grammar correct, the irony should be highlighted.

 • Tomato - Tomato, the point your making is semantics. At the end of the the day a tomato is still a tomato no matter how you pronounce it. Same thing applies for grammar. A point is no less valid just becuase there is a comma or whatever missing.

 • *you're You may want to either a) look up "straw man," or b) learn to read. I never said anyone's argument was invalid due to poor grammar. Disparaging someone's intelligence in a way that calls your own into question deserves to be ridiculed. Poor grammar is not a lesser sin than poor logic. The opposite, really, since it's the more fundamental skill.

 • *you're making this too easy. I can read thank you for asking and I did look up "straw man". Ironically it applies to your reply. You have created the straw man in this situation. We are discussing grammar instead of the point Online1516 made. If you want to be so an*l about grammar and definitions then why have you brought religion into the discussion. "Sin" is subject to belief and belief varies from person to person, so since you seem to enjoy speaking in certanties, I find it amusing that you would involve such a subject, that, at it's core is undefinable. Being a Pompous arrogant person is to me far worse than a person who does not take the time to write a perfectly worded response. I also find it amazing that you think having proper grammar is more important than having sound logic although it would explain your irrational reasoning.

 • You have no idea what you're talking about. Literally. Did you read what I actually wrote? Nowhere did i so much as imply that poor grammar invalidates an argument, which is what you accused me of. Further, the word sin is not exclusive to religious discussion. Your diatribe on that one is either red herring or, again, a straw man. Learn how logic works before you say anything else stupid. As far as your silly idea that flaws in logic are less forgivable than flaws in grammar, you should--again--read what I actually said. My reasoning is unarguable: it's worse to fail at something easy than it is to fail at something difficult. You wouldn't say someone who can't walk a tightrope is inferior to someone who can't stay on the sidewalk. Thus, failing at grammar, which is the more fundamental skill, is worse than failing at logic, which can be much more subtle. But all of that is irrelevant to the point I made: if you question someone's intelligence in a way that showcases your own intellectual failings, it's perfectly legitimate to point out the irony.

 • Wow you're one arrogant pr*ck haha No I didn't actually read your reply, I blindfolded myself and let autocorrect make the answer for me. It's you fine I'll let you get the last reply so you can get your imaginary "win" The fact that you think that grammar is more of a marker for someone's intelligence than how logical or reasonable the ideas that they have are is mind blowing. It also means we will never be able to have a proper conversation because you, atop your high horse would rather find a way to look down on someone than try and see past minor details to understand the point someone is really trying to make

 • Seriously, you either can't read or can't think. Saying,
Grammar is a more fundamental skill than logic, so getting it wrong is a worse mistake,
is not/not the same as saying,
Good grammar is a better sign of intelligence than solid logic.
Further, it's pretty silly to say that grammar is irrelevant in written communication, and it's somehow the reader's obligation to wade through unintelligible crap to see if, maybe, there's an underlying good idea in there somewhere. It isn't. Just as there's no such thing as a great portrait poorly painted, there's no such thing as a great story poorly told. All of which, however, is irrelevant to the original point: the irony of calling someone stupid while misusing the language. Grammar is neither optional nor irrelevant. Especially in a discussion about logic.

 • Friend, based on your spelling you seem like a 10 year old. Yes, his statement does need some fact-checking but he has a solid point nonetheless.
