All characters related to any of BraveCole's stories are his property, which means that he can shut down this ~9-12 part story. I know that you will skip this spoiler because this chapter is way overdue. Actually, scratch that, go ahead and skip it, since I'm not as cool as BraveCole.
RJ's body glowed with light. Fexil watched with anxious eyes, hoping that the young guardian would make it. A Goblin manages to sacrifice itself, but no more sacrificed, as Ventis is now defending the left conflux, where the sacrifice occured.
Then, with a blast, RJ's body was shattered, leaving nothing remaining. Not even his cloak survived. Dawn is drowning in her own tears, her nose runny from crying. Ventis notices the absence of speech, where not even a "NERF!" was heard.
Dawn:N-N-NOoOOOOO!!
Fexil: ahh...
Rakkl-2: *blam*ing Fanatics! And here I thought we're finally going to go without any deaths!
Fexil: No one's perfect, old friend.
Rakkl-2: Arrggh! The only kid I liked!
Ventis: Now that's just mean!
Rakkl-2: You! Can't your ghosts revive you? Can't they?
Ventis: Do not ask me! I'm not the one who literally shot his Ghost!
Dawn: B-b-bec-ky... C-c-can-n y-y-ou-u *sniff* b-b-ring h-h-him b-b-back?
Becky: I'll do my best, Hon.
Becky scans the area for any trace of RJ. More fanatics spawn, but they seem to be more attracted to Velohan, who is killing them faster than they spawn. The Templar is growing impatient, and begins shooting at Dawn, Fexil, and Rakkl-2. Dawn puts up her bubble in response. Done with her scan, Becky returns.
Fexil: Can you bring him back?
Becky: If I could, I would have done so already.
Rakkl-2: *blammit!* what kinda Ghost are ya then?
Becky: RJ cannot be brought back because the Light is not strong in this place. We must kill the Templar without RJ.
Rakkl-2: *blammit!* Our ad control!
Fexil: Actually, Bark and Ventis can run Stormcaller and be the ad control.
As the Templar fires an endlesa barrage, Dawn covers her ears. She just wants to sit down, without a bubble, and let herself die. Nothing mattered anymore. Nothing mattered. Nothing-
???: Greetings.
Dawn looked/looks/will look up.
???: I see that you are in great distress. Is it because a dear friend... ran too late?
Dawn simply nodded/nods/will nod, as she was mute/is mute/will be mute.
???: I see. I believe this was something of his?
RJ's cloak materializes. As colors jump and time bends, Dawn noticed/notices/will notice that the cloak has been... ornamented.
Dawn started/starts/will start to open her mouth to speak, but reality poured into her dream. Fexil and Rakkl-2 are looking down. Rakkl-2 is making noises that could be mistaken as tears, but no tears can be seen. In Dawn's hands, shaking with sorrow, lay the Cloak of RJ.
Dawn:G-g-gu-y-ys-s?
Fexil: Yes, Dawn? Whose cloak is that, if I may ask?
Dawn: R-R-J's-s...
Fexil: ahh....
Rakkl-2: How is that possible? All of RJ's possessions have been Negated. His cloak should have been lost!
Fexil: Well, Rakkl, my dear friend, it appears that miracles can happen in this Vault, but a miracle cannot give RJ back.
At this point, the Confluxes have been protected well. Ventis and Velohan are both exhausted, as both were two timing two Confluxes. Dawn holds onto the Cloak tightly, as if she were in that training routine again. It reminds her of RJ's rash personality, of his arrogance. If RJ were here right now...
Becky: This might be something I would have to report to BraveCole, Hon..
BraveCole: About what?
At this point, everyone turns around, as the Templar has teleported away, and the Oracles have not spawned. Everyone is striken with not only surprise, but also guilt.
Ventis: Professor!
BraveCole: Hey! We gotta hustle! Gotta get ya outta here! All six of you!
Fexil: Five now.
BraveCole: Wait, I didn't miscount, didn't I? Let's see, one, two, three... okay, who's missing? I counted three veteran hats, so don't tell me one of my student is is dead.
Velohan: On the contrary, the hunter did. Fine soul, he was.
BraveCole: Do we have any remains? We might be able to...-
Becky: I searched, Hon. None to be found, except for this cloak Dawn conjured up.
Dawn: H-her-e...
BraveCole silently takes the cloak. Looking at it's design, he realizes that this was RJ's favorite cloak, but it never showed animated pictures. In fact, it never had an ornament. He gives it back to Dawn.
BraveCole: Alright, so I've got two options.
First, I stay here and help you guys avenge RJ, totally risking my job. Or, if you don't want me to lose my peanut butter, you all silently come with me and don't say a single, *blamming* word.
Rakkl: First of all, I ate all your peanut butter-
BraveCole: Which I'd have to punish you for-
Rakkl: -and second of all-
BraveCole: -Which would be embarrasing, considering you're a-
Rakkl: the Oracles are spawning.
BraveCole: -Graduate. Wait, what?
Rakkl: Good luck!
Dawn puts on RJ's cloak, for comfort.
Ventis looks at BraveCole, but has no time to speak due to an Oracle nearly taking out his ear. These things are loud.
Fexil: Shoot them!
And so they shot, with BraveCole swearing and cursing all over the place, mostly about Rakkl stealing his peanut butter. The Vanguard grows restless, tired of waiting three days.
Cayde-6: Remind me again, why is it taking so long for a Profesor to come back with his kids? It just takes a little push and pull!
Ikora: We must be patient, if even we might see results. The Vault of Glass affects time, even to the extent to slowing the time of everything inside.
Shaxx pops in, asking about bounties.
Shaxx: Bounty suggestions, anyone?
Cayde: Auto Rifle, Shotgun, Sidearm, and Hand Cannons. You're welcome.
Shaxx: I never listen to what you say, but you're the only one to answer me, so I might consider your suggestions.
Ikora: Why do your bounties before Iron Banner?
Shaxx: Guardians need something to grind on, don't they?
Ikora: That is procrastination to the most utmost level.
Shaxx: I'll tell ya that I told ya so, Ikora!
Guardian: Hey, I think I ranked up, Shaxx.
Shaxx: You did? Here, have fun.
The guardian opens the package.
Guardian: Wow. I'll definitely have "fun."
The gun the Guardian is now wielding is a Lord High Fixer, with such a terrible roll that even Shaxx revolted at the sight of it.
Shaxx: ehhh...
Guardian: *blammit!* I'll just do a raid!
Little did the guardian know, was that a friend was hopping like mad to each Oracle, hoping to silence each song with a pull of a trigger.
And the universe expands, getting ready for a split.
