I hate to be that Nintendo fanboy that ruins everything, but I feel like it should be, obviously it would have a few technical and visual compromises and downgrades in order to make it possible, but it's a concept I think Bungie shouldn't ignore.
I hope Bungie considers and even tries to port the game over to Switch, even if it isn't as amazing as the PS4, XB1 and PC versions of the game. Nintendo Switch is doing really well right now, and there are a lot of people who own it who'd most likely be interested in an intergalactic FPS that can be taken on the go. There's a big opportunity for a lot of new players to be introduced to the series as well.
The concept is great. Do some story missions on the go, then connect to wifi to upload your data to the servers and gain access to online activities. Or maybe grab a few friends and do some strikes, nightfalls, private matches, and even raids while you're in the same room together. Destiny is a social game, and it would be fully realized on the Switch, despite any graphical sacrifices.
Destiny is a game that I love, and I hope to not be confined to my couch when I save the Earth. Please, Bungie, make some attempt to get this game working on Switch, even if you hand the project over to another team so you can set your full attention on the game you're making right now.
Who's with me?

I think the problem would be more to do with Nintendo's online infrastructure, rather than whether the game can be run on the Switch hardware itself.
