I had a fat post typed up, but the piece of sh1t Bungie mobile website is still interactive when you are trying to close out of a menu so I accidentally clicked on "home" and deleted my post. RIP.
I digress into a considerably shorter and infinitely bitchier post about Destiny's lack of general complexity and how it is despicable to even THINK of this game as an MMO. (At best it's a FPS shoot n loot with unimagined delivery of repetitive content.)
New classes. Period.
Don't go weaksauce here and "unveil" 3 "new" classes while scrapping Hunters, Locks, and Titans. ADD CONTENT when it comes to character selection, don't replace entire classes (that would be a seriously fatal error).
Healers/FULL Support Class. Period.
This......probably should have been MUCH higher in the priority list, but if each subclass had some actual survivability this need could be circumvented.
New subclasses.
Since you already share some abilities between subclasses, it shouldn't be tough to introduce some new abilities here and there to possibly revamp some underplayed subclasses or change the way existing subclasses are played.
New vehicles.
I thought sparrows were cool...then played the game for longer than two months. Plain and simple, riding around on these is probably my least favorite thing about the game unless it's dedicated racing. I think you guys did a cool thing with the racing events, but I want to have a reason to extensively run around in an open world on foot. When I need to get from A to B, I would like to have something besides a sparrow that 95% of the players use. Like, we can't even truly customize them...
Idk, just be more creative and better in general here. I literally have refused to do bounties on planets because it's just riding around on a sparrow. Do I want to do that for 7 spinmetal and 3 weapons parts? Abso-fking-lutely not. I'd actually rather do almost anything else except be in prison rather than patrols/planet bounties.
I'm just saying, can we get something besides a sparrow?
Make a REAL open world.
The ONLY things to do on a planet are fly around on your sparrow, collect resources, and complete patrols/bounties, then you have to go through painful loading screens to travel through space. I think it'd be SWEET if you could travel through space manually in your load screen ship with the chance to run into some rare encounters where you either fight a squadron of ships or board an enemy ship and wipe out the enemies for some fat loot.
So pretty much, let's see some more creativity here because sparrows are horribly boring, repetitive, and they all look nearly the exact same.
World bosses.
Make some repeatable but rotating world bosses with the highest level of raid gear available on drop, but don't release these "world bosses" into rotation until the raids have been out a couple of weeks. This keeps traveling to planets WAY more relevant, AND it gives solo players and casual players the chance to get into the raids faster after they've been released. It kind of feels like the raids require too much coordination on some bosses for a causal player to be able to gather gear fast enough to stay geared enough in LFG finders--thus, perpetuating an endless cycle for the casuals who are borderline raiders, but get left in the dust because they can't farm the raids every week so they aren't picked over higher geared players in LFG finders.
How about just make more world bosses that you can only loot a limited number of times per week and then make the loot not suck at least 10% of the time.
I have many more ideas, but I'm done doing the Bungie creative team's job. You can offer me one of the price is right, Bungie; it'd have to be Kush enough for me to leave engineering though.
I seriously had a HUGE post typed up before it got deleted, but please consider typing your thoughts here and upvoting if you agree with some of these things! I'm a big fan of MMOs, but Destiny 1 fell REALLY short in my book (compared to what was preached). I don't want No. 2 to just be a cash grab and customization and variety are what spice up MMOs! After all, I wouldn't consider 16 players spread across the entire planet to be "massive".

dont you think being support in a fps like this would be extremely boring, and not necessary really. i mean you heal yourself pretty fast, and you havent got that much health either, so i dont see the point :( and if you have played overwatch, have you ever experienced how boring it is being mercy :) And you mentioned that you would like an open world kinda like, with space ship batles and fly your ship manually to your destination. and i agree, it would be very fun, but you also mentioned that you were tired of the loding time, dont you think adding this future it would take you longer reaching your destination :(
