Destiny 2 script leak

Fallen Captain known as Arbiks, 'The Judge': 'There was only one Great Machine.' Fallen Archon Veriks: 'One? Are you sure?' Judge: 'Yes. They called it, The Traveller.' Fallen Archon Merciks: 'Why was it not ...uh, worshipped? 'Cos that's what we Fallen did to it, I think. I dunno. Long time ago. Worshipped with the rest of their... fleet?' Judge: 'It fled, as we set fire to the Darkness.' Fallen Archon Regreks: 'When you first saw the Traveller, were you blinded by its majesty?' Judge: 'Blinded?' Regreks: 'That's the line on my script, yes.' Judge: 'Uh, I wasn't blinded, no. Even though it was a clear morning and what appears to be the largest non-celestial body in the known galaxy is white.' Regreks: (angrily) 'Yet the humans were able to evade your ships, welcome the Great Machine, and desecrate it with their filthy festival projections!' Judge: 'Noble Archons, surely you understand that once the undead attacked-' Merciks: (bangs his fist down on his chair) 'There will be order in this Council!' Veriks: 'You were right to focus your attention on the Hive. But this Guardian, this... uh, we have no other word for it...'" Judge: 'By the time I learned his/her/their/other possessive pronoun intent, there was nothing I could do.' The Fallen council roars disapprovingly. Allied Cabal Primus Valus Ta'artarus chuckles to himself. Regreks: (whispering to Veriks) "Noble Archon of Veriks, this has gone on long enough. Make an example of this bungler. The Council demands it!" Veriks: (whispering to Regreks) 'Actually, the kids call it 'bungo' these days, not Bungle. inorite (to 'Vadamee) "You are one of our most treasured Exotics. Long have you led your House with honor and distinction. But your inability to safeguard the Traveler was a colossal failure." Archon Randomiks: (Stands up and shows a fist) "Nay, it was hear sy ...hearsy... heresy!" Judge: "I will continue my shamefully short Story Missions against the humans!' Veriks: "No, you will not." Veriks glances at Valus Ta'artarus, and the Cabal Primus ...space-turtles a command. Two Centurions approach Judge and try to grab him, but he shakes them off and he starts walking. They escort him out. Veriks: "Soon, the first mission of Destiny 2 shall begin. But when it does, the weight of your heresy will stay your feet, and you shall get Weaseled." View fades to a new background. Veriks is wearing Mask of the Third Man because Destiny, that's why, and the middle eye is replaced by Earth's moon. The view then pans to a view of Earth itself, focusing on three ships in orbit. A few Vanguard ships fly past. Earth. 9.8.27?? Banshee-44: "Your plating was about to fail. There's viscosity throughout the gel layer. Optics? Totally fried. And let's not even talk about the power supply. Seriously, don't. I'm a gunsmith, I have no idea what I'm talking about." The view shows the Guardian's new helmet on the table, whichever the player picked at the beginning of the game before the cutscenes or something. Banshee-44: "You know how expensive this gear is, son? And Bungie hasn't even released any DLC yet." Guardian: "Tell that to the Cov- ...Fallen and/or Cabal and/or Hive and/or Vex and/or Taken."

Part 2 Banshee-44: Well, I guess it was all obsolete, anyway. Your new suit's a ...you know what? Shall we just skip all the hand-holding tutorial bullshit? Huh? How about I crack some innuendoes about guns? That'd be better. (The elevator door behind Banshee opens, to reveal Cayde-6, who fires a pair of finger-guns at the Guardian) Banshee: So if you don't know what the hell's going on because I skipped it all, and your shield goes down, just find some cover and let it recharge. Cayde: That, or he could hide behind me. If you're playing a Hunter, that is, my profile isn't big enough to cover a Titan, maybe not even a Warlock. You all done here, Banshee? I don't see any 'BETA' splashed across the screen. Banshee: His weaponry's oiled for now. You're free to go, Guardian, just remember, take things nice and easy. Cayde: Don't worry, I'll loosen you up. There's a nice bar down in the City, great music, friendly Sweeper Bot. You'll love it. (When you step onto the elevator) Banshee: So, Cayde, when you gonna give me that Glimmer you owe me from the SRL? Cayde: Uh... Sorry, Banshee. That's classified. Banshee: Heh. Like hell it is. Well, you can forget about those adjustments to your Ace of Spades. (The door closes, and the elevator rises) Cayde: Well, he's in a particularly fine mood. Maybe Zavala didn't give him an invitation. (The elevator stops, revealing a small four-man... Fireteam+1 tram, and a stunning view of Earth through large bay windows.) Cayde: Earth. Haven't seen it in years. Well, not from this angle. (He steps onto the tram car) Cayde: Beautiful, isn't she? Keep this between you and me, but... I can't say I don't envy you, Guardian. Gettin' out there, kicking alien butt, and getting views like this. I have exactly one window I can look out of from the Vanguard Hall, and it's half a room away. A very large room. And Zavala's in the way too, giving me the stinkeye with those beady blues of his. *shudders* I can't look out the window for 10 minutes without getting 'How many KD Bogatyrs have you sold today?' or 'Are you going to investigate those reports of a Cabal bomb?' (The tram stops, to reveal a crowd of cheering civilians, wearing the sort of shit Back to the Future said we'd be wearing this century.) Cayde and the Guardian step from the tram into the crowd of ...more Guardians. Ghosts dart around the room to get a camera angle. Guardian: You told me there wouldn't be any cameras. Cayde: And you told me you were gonna wear something nice. The hell is this? Crota's End gear? You look like an undead dinosaur, press is gonna tear you apart. Be brave, Guardian. Cayde lifts his hood, smooths his ...'hair'. Cayde: So, smile, would ya? Hype train's comin' home. Whoo-whoo! CUT TO Fallen homeworld or somewhere The Cabal lead the Judge through a crowd of jeering Psions, Dregs, and Centurions. Psion crowd (in unison): Heretic! Heretic! Heretic! The Cabal stop at a dais in front of a huge dropoff, and below we can see crowds of thousands gathered to watch. The Cabal strap the Judge arms into a pair of floating Arc restraints. Valus Ta'artarus: You've drawn quite a crowd! Judge: If they came for a good story, they will be disappointed. Valus Ta'artarus: Are you sure? The Arc restraints blaze, melting the Captain's shield. So he switches it to Solar. Orange energy beams shoot out from the wall, meeting the floating restraints. The Judge fights back a cry of pain. CUT TO wherever Cayde was, apparently I put him on a ship rather than in the Tower or something. Cayde and the Guardian arrive on the bridge, greeted by dozens of cheering Vanguardians and crew members. They approach a raised platform, walking up a flight of steps to the sound of clapping hands. They stand in front of Commander Zavala, snap to attention, and salute. Cayde offers a wink. Zavala: Gentlemen, or... Cayde and female Guardian, we're lucky to have you back. One of Zavala's officers whispers something in his ear. In Destiny 2 Anniversary, this is properly animated. In Destiny 2, he simply leans close but his lips don't move. Zavala: Go ahead, Ghost. Ghost: Another whisper, Commander, near Io. We have probes en route, but we probably won't be getting there until next year. DLC and all that jazz. Zavala: Guardian, I apologize, but we're going to have to make this quick. Cayde: Apparently not, we have about 12 months. Zavala shoots Cayde a 'look'. Ghost: You look nice. Guardian AND Cayde (simultaneously): Thanks. Jinxed! Jinxed again! Our mental synchronisation, can have but one explanation- Zavala: Cayde, when you're quite done dancing- Cayde: Doing the Frozen ro- the Frobot. Zavala: We Ran Out of Medals is awarded for defeating 25 enemy Guardians without dying. Among the crowds, Shaxx can be seen, wiping a single tear of oil from his cold hard cheek. Cayde: (whispers to the Guardian) Back in my day, we called it 'Untouchable'. CUT TO High Chair Valus Ta'artarus: You bought Vanilla and then rolled your eyes at The Taken King?! There can be no greater heresy! Let him be an example for all who would break our promise to Bungle! The crowd howls, and the Cabal guards remove the Fallen Captain's chest armor. CUT TO Cairo A nearly-bald woman steps up, turns, snaps to attention. Zavala: Ikora Rey. You gave us Invective, and led many fine young Warlocks to become bastions of the City's defence. We thank you, and we will never forget. CUT TO High Hopes A white Fallen Captain helmet falls to an unrendered floor, which ultimately appears several days later. The Judge, stripped naked, hangs against the restraints. From below, a large, cruel-looking brand emerges, bearing a striking resemblance to the Activision logo. Valus Ta'artarus takes it. He approaches the Fallen Captain and pushes the brand viciously against his chest. For a moment, the Captain fights the pain, but then gives in and lets out a low howl before soiling himself. CUT TO Carrot Klaxons begin to blare. Ghost: Vexspace ruptures, directly off our battle cluster. Zavala: Show me. Ghost: Failsafe protocol; in the event of unexpected- wait, wrong cutscene. The display flickers, showing approach trajectories for a group of Fallen ketches. Ghost: Fifteen Fallen ketch ships, holding position just outside the killzone. Horizon. Games by Guerrilla. FLEET ADMIRAL Holiday (radio): This is Fleet Admiral Holiday. In case the script didn't give that away. We are engagin' the enemay. Zavala: Negative, Admiral Amanda. Form a defensive perimeter around the cluster. Ikora, get to your ship, link up with the fleet. Then board the enemy ships and attack like the Warlock you are, not the ship commander I keep forgetting you aren't. Ikora: Yes, Sir. Zavala: You have the BIG gun, Ghost. As soon as they come in range, open up. Ghost: Gladly. Zavala (studying the display): Something's not right. The fleet during the Collapse was fifty times this size. SENSORMAN: Sir, additional contacts! Boarding craft, and lots of 'em! Zavala: They're going to try to take our BIG guns offline, give their ketches a straight shot at Earth. Guardian, defend this station. Guardian: Yes, Sir. (To Sg- uh, Cayde) I need a story- I mean a weapon. Preferably meatier than a Khvostov. Cayde: You remember they did an Exotic version with Rise of Iron, right?
Moderator edit: This thread has been updated with tags that are more appropriate.
