Think again. Sure, some people can be trustworthy, but others aren't. Make sure you know and trust someone before even contemplating giving them access to your account. Even if you do feel like you trust someone, remember there are risks.
There's been some people lately just straight up deleting peoples characters and items, and then those people are upset and try to get Bungie to restore their things. Guess what? They won't, no matter what.

Also someone pointed this out, allowing someone to recover your account (if you paid for it) is against Bungie's Code of Conduct anyways. Not only do you risk getting your stuff deleted, but you risk getting in trouble with Bungie, which would make everything you do on Destiny pretty much pointless.

For those of you harassing me for proof, please go here and read this section about harassment. If you read it clearly and understand, you'll see why you're not receiving any proof.

If you want to go to the Lighthouse, find two people who are willing to help you! Even if it's not Trials related, please know the risks! Be careful! Stay safe!

You can report all you want (Expect the Wind to Answer You) but Bungie does not do anything about it. It would be nice if they cared but they 'Do Not.' It is up to you to be responsible for your own account and to not take part in account recoveries for the trial rewards or other special gear/weapons. Do not risk your own account and any confidential information connected to your account. Take responsibility and knowledge for yourself but don't expect the hand of kindness/love from Bungie to contact you and ask for information to go after these people. If they cared why do they still post on their forums. On these forums, they ask for pre-paid cards which they will steal your money. If you get ripped off, there is nothing you can do about it. Just accept it, learn from it and move on. Don't bother with Bungee.

What genius would let another strangers get access to their accounts? I got molested by rank #1 in trials who was joined by two others that had recovered accounts :/ #notfun
-
Bump!
-
I know some friends details and it is so tempting to do an april fools
-
I have my buddies Xbox acccoount info, never would delete his stuff but god damn am I tempted to change that gamer tag to something gay.
-
I've done them for raids. All I'm saying is know who you give your info to. I never did anything to anyone's account but I know people who did.
-
Bump for awareness!
-
Bumping! Seeing a lot of posts on the forums today offering paid carries. Please report these posts for solicitation.
-
So bungie cannot suspend accounts on PS4 or Xbox, however Im unsure for PS4, but Xbox has been cracking down with Twitch and actually either suspending or banning those who do Recoveries
-
P.S. there was a post before where someone bought tons of silver on someone's account and sony didn't refund any money. Real life money gone .
-
i recov carries 2 lithouse i so cool *dabs skinny white arms* ok, done with destiny today, off to take selfies and snap chat them with dog and flower filters smokes vape my older brother bought me did i mention how cool i am
-
Everybody I know that does account recoveries wants to maintain a positive reputation to keep the money coming. If you run into somebody that deletes your character after you paid for a recovery, you aren't doing your job by trusting somebody with no reputation whatsoever.
-
Not to mention the person recovering the account can get their main banned.. not sure quite how but one of my friends was banned by Xbox for this.
-
It's funny to see all of these PS4 pkayers admitting to doing recoveries. Not only is it a violation of Bungie CoC, but it's a violation of PSN CoC. They are openly admitting to it, and telling on themselves
-
Isn't it against sony's policy to give your account information to another person anyways?
-
There is nothing wrong with account recovering. I do it all the time for my friends, free flawless runs. I don't find anything wrong with it. Granted they usually have below 1.0, so I'm highly underestimated. Idk I just find it fun ig, and in trials k.d doesn't matter cause SBMM isnt in play.

Edited by WulfPak666: 3/26/2017 11:53:24 PMThere are only 2 people who can recover my account... My brother and my best friend. Reason being, If anything gets messed up, I know where they live. I will kick their ass and delete their stuff too. 😊

We had a guy in our clan, seemed decent. He wanted to help players get to the lighthouse. He did recoveries and became an admin in our clan. He started charging some clan members and at that point we told him that wasn't acceptable. He and others he played with were asked to create there own clan and move on. Instead, they threatened several times to use the account recovery info to harm player accounts. Have harrsssed the clan and it's members for days and are being investigated by bungie and the Microsoft live team for issues related to this. IT IS NEVER WORTH THIS TROUBLE TO GET TO THE LIGHTHOUSE.

Can anyone here "recover" my account? I'll pay you 5 sheckles if you do. PM me if interested.
-
So you should report account recoveries??
-
we all know you're lincolns alt, no point even trying anymore.
-
Clown, Lemme recover that snapchat account you got.
-
If you're paying someone to obtain rewards for you in a computer game you deserve to have your console melted into a dildo.
-
I have access to my sister's account. I play iron banana for her (she's not a big pvp fan). She trusts me with minor decisions (dismantling a shitty roll or using it for infusion), but I always ask her for big things.
-
If people want help getting flawless and have someone help carry that's one thing. If you give out your info to a stranger, I hope your account gets deleted. Because you're an idiot.
-
Playing under someone else's profile is not against anyone's rules. The code of conduct exists here - assuming you're referring to "impersonation" of another person. No less than 50 people have played Destiny using my profile. It's probably a lot higher. I know that about 20 people have played on my wife's profile on 10 different consoles (I know because I own all of them). If it is my information, and I provide it freely, nobody has done anything wrong. That said - I personally feel people paying someone else to play a game for them is ridiculous. But if you have money - go for it. I'm sure nobody would be negatively impacted (obvious sarcasm).
