EDIT: thanks to everyone who was waaaayy nicer about responding to this than I was expecting. After coming back and re-reading this, I was pretty appalled and horrified that I posted this... between the lack of proof reading, the whining, and the archetypical threats to quit destiny.... I can hardly believe I did this.... I'm pleading temporary insanity here. The announcement just really caught me at a bad time, coming off of a two-day-no-sleep-working-nights-prepping for long trip situation, and some other personal crap going on.... just kinda lost my mind over something really unimportant. If it hadn't been this, it probably would have been something else. But how nice and encouraging or reassuring **most** of the folks responding were to such a dumb, whiny, salty post.... it really reminded me of why I got into this game and community to begin with. A lot of awesome people. And even those who were less gracious or diplomatic in their response.... I get it. So much salt out there- it gets SOOOO old, when this game and community are such a gift to so many of us. Normally I am the first to note that. Not sure how I ended up in that mindset there for a second.... but it was super regrettable. So.... commencing damage control here... thanks for the perspective refresh, guardians. ** original shit-post** This totally sucks for anyone who hasn't had a chance to finish this. There are a lot of newer players, as well as older ones who took breaks, or lacked time to do this quest, who might still like to. I understand making the crucible bounties available to everyone, so that everyone can get nightfall tier rewards from crucible, during this last big hurrah for d1. But some of us would still like the ability to finish the quest for the satisfaction of the feeling of accomplishment and for the exclusive weapon reward it grants.... not sure why this quest has to be retired to allow everyone to get the crucible bounties?? This announcement kinda ruined my excitement for Age of Triumph altogether. Kinda makes me feel like not getting d2 as well, as it feels like of I don't devote all my free time to that when it comes out, I'll get left behind again and again, just like in d1...
