Wish for Destiny 2. Fourth Heavy Weapon Class!
Railguns!

My favorite weapons from Halo were the Sniper Rifle and the Railgun. We have plenty of Snipers in Destiny, but have only ever had one weapon similar to a Railgun - the Sleeper Simulant.
The Sleeper Simulant is amazing! ...but, it is only one weapon and is available only in Solar damage (side note, I would love it if they created an Arc and Void Sleeper Simulant a la Nova Mortis and Abbadon). The Sleeper Simulant is technically a Laser and is considered a Heavy Fusion Rifle, but fundamentally, it functions like a Railgun.
What I really hope for Destiny 2 is that they fully embrace the Railgun as a heavy weapon type. That way we could have:
1. Rocket Lauchers
2. Heavy Machineguns
3. Swords
4. Railguns (charges similar to fusion rifles, but shoots a single high damage elecromagnetic projectile instead of a spread of multiple bolts). They could balance this by having legendary Railguns only hold one shot in the magazine and Exotics similar to Sleeper Simulant could have 3 in the mag like they do now.
If you are curious as to what this might function like you can look up videos of Halo Railgun gameplay. It holds a single shot in the magazine, charges like a fusion rifle, and shoots a single high damage, highly explosive round that detonates on impact. It can basically one-shot any enemy in PvE content.
What do you guys think? More options are always good, right?

I'm down for a heavy railgun. I'd also like to see a smg as a special weapon (same stats as a sidearm but an automatic with a higher rof, larger magazine, and reduced stability). And just in case if Bungie does make railguns, I'd like to see an exotic one that can shoot through walls and allows the user to see outlines of targets that have been "spotted" through the scope. "One shot, one kill, all skill".

4 RepliesThe only thing I hope for weapon wise in Destiny 2 is that hope that the best guns in crucible aren't so hard to get. The fact the a Luna has reign supreme in PVP and the only way to get it is from crucible drops blows my mind. It's not consistent that way if someone has a god roll and you just can't get lucky enough to find one.

Wish for Destiny 2...an MMO - A huge vault - being able to switch to a secondary weapon, use synth, etc without going to the menu (map it to the D-pad) - real quests on different planets, like outposts on the planets with quest chains and NPCs, sparrow racing outposts for rewards on moons or astroids, a larger world - more customization, like bosses or very hard bounty rewards drop armor/weapon perks that you choose which item they go on, but can only be used once (purple items have 4 perk slots and an elemental slot, blue only have 3, etc) -Player trading (to a certain extent) - Open world PVP, like phased moons or other places where it's open world, continuous PVP, a fight for resources or some other objective, maybe territory, can be split by factions (Dead Orbit, FWC) You know, an MMO....

i wish there was an axe, or better yet, fist fighting. stronger than regular melee, and consumes ammo on each hit. melee button gives three quick punch gun button does a strong powerful punch. combo: melee, gun (mash): rush attack melee, melee, gun: uppercut finisher air melee: air dash punch air gun: air slam.
