For those of you trying to avoid spoilers for Mass Effect Andromeda, now is the time to go dark.
Today at 2pm EST (6pm GMT), The media Embargo will be lifted. This means that every news site and reviewer will be releasing a ton of MEA content that they have been holding for weeks. With this flood will be a lot of major spoilers for the game.
If you wish to remain unspoiled for the 21st (or 16th), then you may want to avoid YouTube, twitch and other big gaming sites, including these forums. If you don't care or are interest in the multiplayer, streams start as soon as the embargo is lifted. Lots of videos are already Being released (without spoilers).

I've seen two first impression "reviews". One I didn't recognize, the other was Kotaku. The one I didn't recognize barated almost every aspect of what he'd seen. Said the dialogue is dull, terribly written/scripted, characters are lifeless, mechanics are unnecessarily complicated and overwhelming or simply lacking, and that manner of things. The only thing he didn't complain about was the combat, which he basically described as "any other 3rd-person RPG combat, but passably decent". Kotaku said (almost) the exact opposite. Believable dialogue, lively characters that are well written, good combat, etcetera etcetera. Both reviewers, however, admitted that the game kind of throws a lot towards you at the start in terms of... idk, it was either abilities or mechanics or something like. Kotaku was much more... tolerant of it however. Personally I mostly ignored the first guy as he seemed to be the type of person who nitpicks every tiny fùcking detail in a game without even noticing the positives. I trust Kotaku; at least more so than most other gaming websites. Their leaks are almost always accurate and their reviews usually are as well, in my experience. I believe wholeheartedly I'm going to love every little pixel of Andromeda regardless.
