*A Wild Gringo has appeared
Hello, I have some exciting news. So in the teaser for the weekly ritual stream that I posted above, something unusual was the "Daybreak Strike". We know nothing about this, and it is the first time anyone has ever mentioned it. But I have a theory.
So firstly lets discuss the name: Daybreak. It is the exact opposite of Nightfall and it stands to reason that the strike will be the opposite of a Nightfall. Nightfalls are where the Darkness is at its peak, so Daybreak will probably be where light is at its peak.
In the teaser, when it brought up Daybreak Strikes, it showed several clips. Each one of them is a Guardian in a super or using an ability.
Based on this sparse but fairly potent evidence, I believe that Daybreak strikes will be Mayhem strikes (like the Mayhem crucible mode) where your abilities regenerate very fast.
If is the case, I can't wait. Anyways what are your thoughts on the new strike playlist? Do you agree with me or do you think it is something else?
Edit: Daybreak is a modifier that is applied to Nightfalls every other week that makes all enemies epic and gives you a mayhem ability recharge rate.

Edit your edit... Daybreak is every 4 weeks

Once every 4 weeks kills it for me. Bungie has a habit of introducing great things only to then stab themselves in the leg. This is one of those times. Like "cool that was fun. Now to wait a whole....another...month..."

Just as long as they're 380 with no burns. Give it a little challenge. It would get old too fast at the current 350, if its in fact a mayhem thing.
-
If it's opposite to nightfall strikes, does that mean we'll get good rewards
-
Add me if you or anyone is good at pve and understands what being good at pve is. Speed and KILLS. I'm rank 1 in 4 strikes and top 25 in all others, but I'm carrying the teams I'm paired with. If you are always getting 3 to 4 times the amount of kills than the other 2 people on a strike and don't die, add me. If you wreck, add me. Rustopholis. We can -blam!- this daybreak shit up and take titles. Thanks. You can YouTube me.
-
So a tether +2 nighthawks
-
If that's true, then we'll be ability spamming more than a taken army.
-
I hope you're wrong on this. Strikes are easy enough as they are, especially with a burn modifier. Hell, even Nightfalls can be solo'd. I want more of a challenge.
-
That time when solar burn +airborne is on and your entire team is celestial nighthawk golden gun.😁
-
It means we'll be perpetually slowed since we haven't had our coffee yet...
-
Like PotatoNet commented before me, if it's the opposite of a nightfall, will we actually get good loot?

Edited by DMGRGN: 3/14/2017 9:41:46 PMThe difficulty will need to be increased by a ton, otherwise it's just gonna be another excuse for speed runners to ruin it.
-
Edited by mja calg: 3/15/2017 4:53:51 AMI think it will be completing 400 level strikes with no Super, No Armor and year one green weapons. PS: I stand corrected - white weapons it will be.
-
It'll pretty much be Mayhem Strikes/Nightfall. Should be a fun change of pace, at least for a few days.

the "exact" opposite of nightfall would be dayrise but thats none of my business

Edited by uncledannyboy: 3/14/2017 12:31:55 AMMayhem strikes would make no sense. Why wouldn't we be able to have unlimited powers all the time if its possible? This storyline is so scrambled now. Im a day 1 player and im only slightly interested in this DLC. The fun will last a couple weeks at most before majority of the fan base leaves just like the creative team on this game that has lied and failed and done so many things to directly slap the hardcore players right in the face. I have too much invested to just quit and i enjoy playing in groups like Crucible and strikes but its definitely becoming easier to walk away. This new event is supposed to carry us until D2?

I actually might want to run a strike again
-
If you are having problems getting your super up during pve then try the blue pill.
-
Pocket Infinity will be the possible weekly bounty drop I'll assume after IceBreaker's return with the Nightfall.
-
If thats so, they've cranked the fun counter all the way past 11 and onto wumbo.
-
"i have some news" No.. Bungie had some news and you re-posted it like it was your info lol
-
Already been spamming those infinite hammers in heroic strikes, shame it's not solar burn this week. 😍😁
