I've posted before about how I seemingly can't get the Chasing Infinity ship from Queen's Wrath rank up packages. Didn't get lucky and it didn't drop in the 3(?) week period shortly after launch, so I was ecstatic when they introduced rank up packages with Petra. The bounties were limited and you could only get 1000 rep per week from bounties, meaning for 3000 rep per rank up, one rank up every three weeks. I had even set up a rotation to where doing all bounties on all three characters meant I could get one rank up a week (had them spaced 1000 rep apart, meaning one was going to get a rank up every week) I tried relentlessly but eventually gave up and stop playing Destiny for a while because it became the only thing I was playing for and I was determined to beat the odds.
Time passed and they not only added 125 rep and 75 rep bounties, but made it so there were daily bounties released as well! Not just 3 weekly bounties. I've recently started playing again and have focused the majority of that time grinding the same bounties again going after the ship with no luck.
To put things in perspective, I have a combined rank of 38 all three characters for Queen's Wrath. I feel that is a fairly high rep number for Queen's Wrath. Also, roughly 20-25 of those ranks have been since the inclusion of rank up packages and the ship. How have other ship hunters fared trying to obtain this ship. I've known people that have gotten it THE rank up after it was brought into the current game and I'm worried it is a situation similar to Vienna Singer (ship from black spindle mission) in the fact that if you didn't get it on X amount of tries, you're out of luck. It probably just has extremely low drop rates, but at what point is it too low, especially for people like myself that have put a considerable amount of time into collecting it.
Thanks for the feedback in advance!
