Title and video says it all, go ape shi- err, I mean discuss.

Not that big of a deal. All mass produced electronics or anything really, have a certain percentage of faulty units. I think Nintendo's refusal to replace broken components is a much bigger deal than the fact that a couple Switches were faulty. I guarantee you there were faulty ps4's and Xbox One's at launch, probably even still rolling off the line today.

Ppl will learn one day to stay away from launch anything. Cars, consoles, phones, etc. there WILL be problems.
-
I know its a troll post, but sales are really saying otherwise. The only common defunct thing really is the l-joycon desync, and I havent even had that happen.

Guys .. the prices will not drop on the Nintendo switch HELL< a new Wii U still 299.99 so if you waiting for prices to drop, and a consolidated bundle to come out.. don't hold your breath. its wouldn't be a " SWITCH " with out the dock, and Nintendo does not washout their niche. You either buy it as is .. or you don't no way around this I personally am waiting for more games and mainly MARIO odyssey

So painful it sold out globally..
-
Its messed up how Nintendo said dead pixels are normal.

Every console that has launched has had broken or defected consoles in a decent number. It wasn't until 360s rrod failure rate went through the roof that we really cared. Now every console that ever launches, we are gonna try to match that intensity of 360s defects. It happened when ps4 launched and people were getting the blue line and the console wouldn't work. It was an extremely small amount of consoles messed up but the story was blown up to show a supposed huge problem. Go on youtube and see all the videos of people showing their broken consoles out of the box and sure you will find enough videos and that makes it seem like an epidemic cause no one is uploading vids of their console working just fine.
-
Lol the usual defective consoles and problems that need ironing out, I'm not going to hold my breath with game crashes since that's still a thing with X1 and PS4.
-
This video and many haters of Nintendo who don't lie saved me 300$

The fact that Zelda seems to already be pushing the Switch to its limits in terms of power scares me. I love Nintendo, but their inability to adapt in certain areas grates me. How the Switch passed QA with the charging dock only on the bottom is absurd. Make a secondary charging port for when people use it while propped up. The gimmick console worked with the Wii and they're trying to stay that course instead of actual innovation. Nintendo will never go away, I fear that they will slowly move out of favor with gamers though.

Well I guess it's time to Nintendo switch to a ps4. Or an xbone. Or Wii u. Or PC. Or, well, you know....

Edited by Hwood98: 3/10/2017 11:06:54 AMMine is working flawlessly. Put a tempered glass screen protector on it. No issues with the dock scratching it. Joy cons work fine. No dead pixels. Pro controller is amazing. Price should have been $50 less and pro controller at 59 or so

That's what happens when you treat your appliances like trash
-
Edited by Cake-6: 3/8/2017 9:14:59 PMAlot of people get his videos wrong, they're suppose to make you laugh with the punchline in the end. But yet it's console wars in the comments Also it's should be common sense that there are defective consoles when any console launches

The current Switch is for early adopters who have no problem paying $360 to play one game. When the early adopters are exhausted and the supply isn't so constrained, Nintendo will have more games for the switch, maybe a friggin' Netflix app, and possibly a $250 version without the TV dock. I'm not saying the current Switch is for suckers, but I'm also not saying it's a good deal in any way.
-
The Switch is nothing more than a tablet with an HDMI out, it uses that flimsy "docking station" instead of a "mini" HDMI. It's a gimmick. A way overpriced one at that. I do however want one as I am a Zelda fan since the original on the NES. I NEVER buy D1 consoles, because there is usually mechanical problems that need fixing and well...Just watch the video. I will not pay $299 + accessories though. I don't give a rats ass how much "tech" is supposedly in it, it's NOT worth $299, no way no how. If you spent that plus accessories on a D1 purchase your stupid. Who really cares if you can play Skyrim on it...That's an 6 yr old or more game...I don't even remember when it launched...? If they fix it and drop the price by, at the very least $100 and when more games are available (Nintendo exclusives, because that's the only reason to own one; I have an PS4 pro for everything else) I'll pick one up, maybe this holiday season...MAYBE...?

Nothing releases without defects at this point. Is it widespread though.

Edited by puppyk1sses: 3/9/2017 1:11:39 PMI'm waiting till at least summer after E3 to make my decision. It'll be a tad cheaper then (hopefully bundles will be available), I will know more about their future lineup, and their post-launch hiccups will be resolved. Not uncommon at all for a fresh console release to have a bumpy start. They will hopefully figure it out, get some good third party support for their games, and have something in the long run. As it stands now, only one good game and a future full of unknowns don't make it worth the 400 bucks in startup costs to me.
-
Some of that looks so fake.
-
People are failing to understand that these instances are not widespread contrary to what people are saying. I myself and some other friends of mine all have a Switch and we've encountered no problems whatsoever.
-
Thank God this hasn't happened to me. I'm super cautious with the dock, but I need a screen guard ASAP.
-
Edited by OdinsKnight101: 3/9/2017 5:42:58 PMNintendo... Witch. Because which's do curses and the "switch" is just the "witch's" curse.
-
This riminds me of oya.
-
No surprise here, I knew the Switch would be trash
-
Just saying, My Xbone worked perfectly in 2013 and still does now. My Xbox 360 worked perfectly in 2007 and still does now (aside from the optical drive that is, but it's almost 10 years old).

Should have saved 300 and got a ps4 lol
