se·quel
something that takes place after
A sequel, as the dictionary says, is something that takes place AFTER.
Even though I played through all the DLCs and got (almost) max light through most of them, I am ready for a NEW adventure in the Destiny universe. Now, it wouldn't be a sequel if I came in with the same emblems (Laurea Prima) or armor (TRIALS GEAR) or guns (MIDA) I've had for weeks, months, years.
And, I understand, you may not be completely ready to move on. That's why Destiny will still be here. Sure, maybe you won't have the same player amounts. Or people willing to play.
But I'll be doing whatever great things Bungie adds into Destiny 2 (a sequel, not a DLC or continuation)
