Russia had been developing an inter dimensional space ship that could cross galaxies in the blink of an eye. Dmitri was selected to be on the team that used this ship for the first time and acted as the muscle of the crew. The mission went exactly as planned, resulting in Dmitri and his small crew winding up in the Anadeia system. They were surprised to discover that the system had already discovered interplanetary travel, and were able to refuel the ship. After returning to Earth, he and his crew discovered that it had been destroyed, leaving them to travel the stars alone. While travelling, the crew fell under siege and the ship was destroyed along with the crew. Dmitri however, was able to survive by using an escape pod on board. That pod crashed onto Takatai and he has now found his way to the dojo.
