Look. You all are complaining about no gear being able to be carried over into the next game. I can understand that, you've been playing this game for years. Is and have spent a lot of money on it, and to hear that it's all for nothing is angering.
HOWEVER. Transferring from destiny one to destiny two will be no different from transferring from literally any game into the next installment in the series. I have no idea why you are all so upset about this. Let's take, I dunno, Call of duty for example. In COD you can spend hour upon hours playing and spending a lot of money on the expansions and such, but as soon as the next one comes rolling around your going to drop the previous and everything you had in it, just to play the next one. Destiny is the same thing, I just went on for a longer time.
Considering this, I don't see the need for all of the massive amount of salt. I think the biggest issue I have seen though, is all the fuss about. It carrying over emblems. Why do you care so much about emblems? They show progress and accomplishments sometimes, things that won't matter in the next game, you can always come back to destiny one and show them off if you want to. For all of you saying they don't want to wear the same emblems as a casual noob who started by playing D2, bungie is creating emblems that will be awarded to people who have been playing since destiny one. So you won't have to look exactly the same as any other noob.
Destiny two is a fresh start, sometimes that's the best thing to do for a series that had a bad start. Let it be a reset, I would bet that the game will be very different in terms of how it plays and feels and I believe that this game will be irrelevant to the next game. Let this game and yourselves just move on, and just accept the next installment in the series as it comes. This games got a little less than a year left in it and only one major event left, can't we just sit back and enjoy what's left of this game as it come.

Nah. It's perfectly fair for people to want their emblems/shaders transferred over. They're harmless cosmetics that have meaning to them, and some of them were a pain in the butt to find. I don't understand why you're getting huffy over it.
