So yeah shooting at the small enemies in destiny is fun but something has always bothered me when fighting bosses and I found out what it is.
The lack of ways you can fight them.
Basically the only thing you do to them is throw everything at them you have cause they lack the means of defending themselves.
They basically have a maximum of 3 attacks.
1 ranged attack
2 ranged attack 2
3 melee/area of effect melee
But the only thing they SOMETIMES do is occasionally run away.
Please, bungie give the bosses grabbing attacks, more attack patterns, combos and defensive moves (e.g. grabbing a nearby ally or a piece of the environment as a shield) give the boss a move to heal itself (small amounts in a charging kind of way that can be interrupted).
Having the bosses be more challenging offers the possibility of adding actual weakpoints (im thinking of the prophet of regret in Halo2 or how you fight the wraith).
If you can make the boss fall or stagger and interact with it to fight it it makes the fight more engaging and challenging and the more time you invest in fighting a good boss the more satisfying it is when you do defeat it and get loot.
