I say this because some of the stuff he is doing/saying is similar to what dictator would do/say.
Edit: I'm not saying he could become a dictator and stay in power, I'm just saying is he one is making. I know that if he could become one he would get impeached by Congress along with everything that follows.

Anyone who thinks this needs to be hit in the head with a civics book.

He acts like one

Edited by Flee: 3/1/2017 11:23:33 AMHe is a clear demagogue and pushes for authoritarian autocracy by attempting to silence opposition, bully people he holds power over and invalidate criticism or watchdogs like the media, but dictator in the making would imply he can actually achieve that, which I very much doubt. I've learned not to underestimate the idiocy of large groups of people, but I still trust that the American people would not reach that level of incredible stupidity. Then again, they did elect Trump in the first place, so what do I know.

He's a no nonsense kind of man that makes quick decisions, this is good and bad. But trump supporters and trump protestors are only looking at one side instead of both. In doing so they are equally dangerous.
-
He's no saint, but he sure isn't a dictator.
-
A dictator? Really? You people must have thin skin and get triggered easy.
-
No that's a dictator.
-
Well he's still following checks and balances. Courts rules his travel restrictions unconstitutional, albeit clearly by the most overturned circuit in the nation that has a strong liberal bias, he doesn't go on enforcing the policy. He instead opts to revise the policy to make it more in line and fix some issues both sides had with it (eg the visas). And he still had the right to appeal it to the Supreme Court since circuit courts aren't the final say on legal issues.
-
He's try to show off as a libertarian but he's more of an authoritarian... not a dictator so far but who knows? He's a man full of surprises.
-
Checks and balances and constitution stuff bruh. He'd be shot in the head before becoming a dictator (or atleast impeached). That's why the constitution exists. If he tries doing certain things that aren't constitutional, the Supreme Court says "hey woah buddy slow down" and he can't do em. If he does, congress can impeach him.

People have warped the views of infamous dictators to the point where if Hitler drank water, everyone else who drank water would be considered a -godwinslaw!-/Supporter of Hitler and dictatorships.
-
Possibly, but not right now.
-
He wants to be.
-
He's been flirting with the first sliver of dictatorship. Guess we'll see what's to come in the near future.
-
-
He's certainly only going to get more authoritarian
-
Lol like what

Nowhere close
