I think everyone should critically ask themselves "do I really think the prequel were worse then the original trilogy?, is that really my own opinion and not just the echo of one drilled into me by nostalgia obsessed pschoyants?" [spoiler] Seriously I like the original trilogy but they are inferior to the prequels in almost everyway particularly in narrative structure and effects. For example what purpose did luke and leias near incestuous relationship serve? The answer is none if your being honest you know it's simply because Lucas made it up as he went and decided they would be siblings later. Or what about han shooting gredo first originally? I thought it made for a cool character moment but it was officially a mistake that was not intended to look that way it was just shot poorly. The prequels lack bleshmes like those because they were planed out long before production and weren't littered with retcons and cut plot points. And if you think the lightsaber fights of the originals were cooler your just lying to yourself, they were so stiff and boring compared to the dizzyingly choreographed fights of the prequels. Dont get me wrong the prequels aren't perfect. Everybody hates jarjar, there was too much cgi and the dialogue was terrible (though that's a problem in all the films) but I think when people gripe about the prequels and put the original on a pedestal there just mindlessly hopping on a bandwagon.
