I hate American schools. Even if that kid is a brat, he will probably never do anything creative again. Lack of functional fixedness is a marker for high creative intelligence. The school should get that kid into an after school arts program or something to foster his learning interests instead of stifling them. -blam!- all those PC liberal "teachers" who probably only barely made it through college, and will raise kids themselves that are even worse than the one in this story.
