I'll start with dot points because Bungie staff only look at stats and graphs:
GOOD:
• You finally fixed Blink Stall (which no one knew about because Blink is so bad now) *Blink Stall was a bug that prevented you from taking an action until you landed on the ground which sometimes occurred* Wouldn't be surprised if you fixed it without realizing it though. moving on...
• Shadow Price is amazing again (after like 3 years later)
• I can see how the special ammo change mixes things (more primary engagements finally)
BAD:
• You didn't really change any other Auto. The Zhalo and Doctrine archetypes have the same values, so now the only auto we can use is the Shadow Price archetype.
• Hand Cannons suck at long range (because of their nerf to drop distance)
• You nerfed Blink... again... this time with a weird can't see radar nerf... this makes it extremely hard to use Blink how it was designed to be used (getting into enemy territory first).
• The Blade super STILL stalls after a jump
• The Blade STILL shortstops
• The Blade's Backstab is STILL inconsistent
• QuickDraw... doesn't... quickdraw anymore -_-
• Literally all of the regeneration perks have been changed so that you didn't make Josh look like an idiot for changing Hungering Blade, making Sunbreakers pretty much the 3rd worst subclass (2nd Blade, 1st Self Res)
• Truth now has 1 mag? wtf?
• Skorris is still a thing and shouldn't even be hinted at
• Matador is still the only option for shotguns and is still infinitely better than the Two to the Morgue archetype (which have lessened stats, no support whatsoever and are hardly used for the trade off of 6 rather than 5 mag. WOW. So balanced) and even the Invective archetype (which rely on Full Auto, but Matador is still better with Full Auto soooo....)
• Universal Remote is now the most pointless shotgun to use ever (3 in the mag and slower reload? Did you even think about PvE?)
• No one could get the puh because our GFs were more interested in the patch notes and arguing about it
So you see, there is clearly more bad than good that came out of this. And I really don't get how so much emphasis of balance came down to the Blade. I don't understand how that was their focus when testing this patch, and before you say the special nerf, that's a lie. Special is easily acquired, and can BE DROPPED FROM ENEMIES.
I say get rid of this patch, keep the buffs and start again with these nerfs. All of them are unnecessary and harsh to their subclasses.
Oh, and please, this time don't try and use the "it frustrated me" excuse Josh, I'm pretty appalled that you would even go there with an inoffensive perk like Hungering Blade/Cauterize.
I leave you with one question from this salty hunter. What was the good that came from this? I'm not talking about Autos getting buffed or anything on the good list. All of our subclasses got touched today to save the job of a hypocritical dev. Our exotics are pretty much the same, with some becoming more useless. Special is easily acquired, comparable to Year 1 spawn rates and whatnot.
What was actually beneficial to Destiny PvP from this patch?

Edited by FootlooseMoon8: 2/17/2017 3:39:58 PMThey need to nerf the magnetism on sticks so people can stop just throwing em in your general vicinity and getting the stick

I used the doctrine arch type and did fine soooooo...... Also all primaries seem to be viable, nothing stands out as best in class and nothing seems to lack luster. I think the problem most people having right now is skill based match making, though not as harsh as before, is still there. So you have these people who were pub stomping with secondaries and aren't very good with primaries getting stomped by people who are good with primaries. I love this meta! I've had more 20+ kill games in the last 2 days than the last few months. I've had more 10 kill streaks in the last two days than I did the entire time rise of iron has been out. This primary meta actually takes some skill and most people can't handle it. The skill gap is real.

Bungie killed Destiny. Besides hand cannons everything sucks. The armor reduction in warlocks and Titans made those subclasses worthless. Hunters especially nightstalkers will be the only useful subclass since all classes now take the same amount of shots to kill. Worst update ever this game is now garbage.

Edited by A Stupid Person: 2/17/2017 7:23:58 PMHand cannons should not kill at long range. They are meant for medium to close range. Long range is for scouts. I don't get why it's in the bad.

I just got on the forums for the first time this week... What's this I hear about regen perks?

The special ammo change was bad, now everyone is camping and using sidearms, this is the most annoying meta, Bungalow should listen to the smart people and buff primaries instead.
-
The unintentional gutting of a dozen guns/perks that they are doing nothing about is a total pile of poop. Shoddy programming and worse reaction But I will say this: I can unironically use the Dreg's promise...
-
They made a bad choice on special , everyone uses sidearms now
-
What was actually beneficial to Destiny PvP from this patch?
None, we needed buffs this patch, not more nerfs. We now have a primary / sidearm meta, only thing wrong with that? Primarys are trash and take way to long to kill due to all the previous nerfs.
-
Agreed but...
no one uses universal in pve. And if they did they shouldn't. It's not ment for pve therefore shouldn't have to conform to the pve viable weapons list.
-
Who is josh?
-
Blade is the worst super now
-
When sidearms cane out, I knew they would become a meta. Looks like my Havoc Pigeon and I were right.
-
Blinks radar nerf was to prevent you from teleporting about a players head and turning around only to shotgun them in the back without giving the other player time to react. Now with the radar nerf on blink you don't have the assurance that you will get that instant kill.

What do you think of this idea as a suggestion? https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/222262055/0/0

Kid you should actually try playing destiny before complaining the necrochasm archetype of auto has been king since year one and the day surose got nerfed. So why can't they be used because a week ago I went flawless with one .... everyone should play instead of complain maybe they'd learn something
-
side arms beat primaries in most engagements. side arms don't lose ammo on death. This meta is terrible. It isn't just a shotgun problem anymore. It is side arms and fusion grenades, with the occasional no land beyond. I never had fun with side arms, and I'm not going to magically enjoy them now. If the meta has turned into fusion grenades and side arms count me out. Either return special ammo so I can fusion rifle the side arms back out of the meta. or take away their ammo like every other special weapon. Fusion grenades are still a problem, but somehow that wasn't seen by their entire pvp team.
-
How does this deserve to be in classes? If you where only looking at the classes changes then sure. But you did the entire thing? This deserves to be in General.
-
What was beneficial is that everyone is now blaming bungie for ruining the game lol

Edited by amandajc808: 2/16/2017 10:49:29 AMLol I tried to use universal remote in nightfall the other day, it lastest all of 2 minutes 😂😂😂
