While the new patch will be a lot of fun, I disagree with the changes to special ammo. Players will be much more cautious and camp special ammo, rather than engage more in game. However I have a feeling these changes are necessary to fine tune primary weapons, then build on other weapon types afterward.
I think a better alternative to completely losing all of your ammo, would be to instead lose all of your ammo within your reserve. This makes lower impact special weapons with higher fire rates (which tend to have larger magazines) much more valuable. It also disallows a consistent amount of special weapon use for players that repeatedly run in and rush with their secondaries.
Any thoughts or ideas?

I'm curious how this will play. I get the feeling it will be like halo. Where once you die power weapons leave the playing field. And it's straight primaries.

Special ammo will spawn every 60 seconds! How exactly is this a nerf? It's simply a change to gameplay dynamics. Nothing about special ammo is getting nerfed except for player dependency.

You don't know what's a "better" way to nerf special ammo, because you haven't even played the game with this "nerf" yet. You don't know if players will camp special ammo. If they do, people can camp crates waiting for people. Give your opinion AFTER you've played the update.

Yeah, this would have worked too. I'm curious: do you think that a player will lose special ammo upon dying in Trials too?
