It takes quite a bit to kill them when they're hacking through teammates especially. That's with special ammo too. With the de-supply of special, it only makes sense to lower the abilities of hungering blade. Primaries can only do so much. They should have adjusted sun breakers accordingly as well.

  • Sunbreaker already is adjusted. Cauterize has a 3 second cooldown before working. There's also the whole "it doesn't have much else besides the super" where as bladedancer had Quickdraw and an OHKO melee.

  • The same could be said for every super in the game but you're talking about the one that needs to be in point blank range to kill you. That's a disadvantage no other has.

The only problem that blade has run into is hit detection and this usually only affects you when the enemy is running away. You have the luxury of the super doing everything itself. Spam melee and it doesn't matter if someone was hovering 20 ft. above a doorway you were about to enter, it'll lunge for them. Blade is also severely difficult to kill when it's lunging all over. With the lack of special, it's a smart nerf for once.

  • Amazing perks? Quickdraw or fleetfooted. Those are the best perks in the subclass & you can only use one. & I don't see how you have issues with blade spam unless they're already right next to you.

There is nothing better than a blade with a last word and sniper. You're literally prepared for any situation. (QuickDraw equipped) Losing a gunfight, tap them once with a weapon and throw down a skip and you've won.

  • Any warlock subclass can use quickdraw with ophidians & they have the added bonus of speed reload on everything. Then voidwalkers get enhanced energy drain. Blade doesn't even compare.

So yes, dodging enemy fire will result in a higher chance of surviving for the blade dancer but will also lower the killing potential, which is a fair trade (though i still believe the agile class should need to use its super just to be agile). Depending on the map and location, you probably wont net 2 or so more kills if the enemy is spread out and team firing you. It really sounds bungie is punishing players that were smart enough on knowing when to pop blade.

  • I agree with that yeah. And on the sunbreaker thing. (Probably will get some sunbreakers screaming) "it has a cooldown of 3 seconds" Skip nades have a cooldown of 25 seconds and yet everyone whines about that grenade that hits 1 person.
