About
Anyone who has heard of Wylie knows what a firecracker she is, and knows better than to get on her bad side. She may boast the title of Warlock but she’s got the temperament of a Titan, more willing to throw punches first than rationally discuss problems as they arise. When she’s not in the wild running errands for the Vanguard, she’s hanging out in skeevy taverns placing bets and drinking herself to sleep, or sticking close to the side of her Understudy Lazarus, with whom she has developed a deep and loving connection to.
She wasn’t always that way though, Wylynn was once more mild mannered and less explosive with her emotions, but when she lost her brother at the Battle of Twilight Gap, something inside her snapped. In spite of the Vanguard’s reports of his death and recovered video footage of his final moments, Wylie refused to believe that Nikel was truly gone, and spent twenty years of her life searching for proof of his survival. This, however, didn’t bode well with other Guardians in the tower, and many of her former friends who had become tired of seeing her so depressed tried to change her mind (which didn’t end well for them..). Only Rue, Lazarus, and Laila truly understood how badly she needed to hold onto hope to keep on going.
In attempt to remain connected to her brother (but also to draw closer to Lazarus), she followed the path of the Sunsinger and left the calm of the Void behind her, mentoring under her pupil and lover; together the two broke the known limits of Radiance and developed new techniques that only truly bonded Warlocks could master. As the years dragged on with no sign of her brother in sight, Wylie’s heart became heavy, and she began to reach out to those around her for support- she spent more time with Merric and Dee in the field, and more time in Rue’s library as she mourned the loss of her Exo companion Barom. Rue, having similar feelings about his disappearance as Wylie about Nik’s, drew closer to Wylie and indulged more in her theories as she constructed her own.
