I miss Year One.

What was it about the early weeks of Destiny that made it so interesting? I got it December 2014, and played all through 2015 and 2016. Now, I can't even play a game without wanting to turn it off again. Getting Ice Breaker from that VoG chest... Vex Mythoclast vooping an entire team... Trials didn't exist, so sweat was lesser... R.I.P., Year One. You shall not be forgotten.
What was it about the early weeks of Destiny that made it so interesting?
Because it was a new game, mainly. There's a type of euphoria you get when everyone doesn't know the game that well and people are still trying to figure out what the best way to go about their business is. Same case for many other games that have this "honeymoon phase". Year One had its high points, of course, but getting melted in .5 seconds by Vex/Suros or spending an entire year stuck at level 29 because RNG wants to screw you wasn't particularly fun or interesting.
