Got Legit DDosed in Trials
Was up 4-2 in a game of Trials when all of a sudden, my whole team got booted from the game, and completely kicked off of our internet. There was no red bar connections, no lag, no signs of anyone being removed from the game. Now, before you accuse me of being another sore loser who claims to have been DDosed, all three of us being booted simultaneously doesn't seem like a coincidence or bad connection on our part. I looked them up on Guardian.gg and every game to that point on their card, they won with someone on the opposing team being disconnected... Two of those wins, they only had 7 COMBINED kills.
I don't care that we lost, it just bothers me that some people have to resort to BS like this to play a video game. Not sure if Bungie can even do anything about this, but look out for these guys, and please report them!

If those reports and the investigation bear fruit, the cheaters will be dealt with. But things like making a vid, creating a topic, and/or naming them here on the forums serves no purpose and has no benefit. For those who want to take the extra step, or were kicked from the game (and are unable to access the reporting tool), Bungie has created a [u][url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Troubleshoot?oid=13967]Cheating Submission Form[/url][/u] that allows players to find the PGCR (Post Game Carnage Report) from their personal history, fill out an official report, describe the cheating, and even link a vid (if they have one). DDOSing is a federal crime and is punishable by up to 10 years in prison. I only know this as it was a big thing to do in BO2 back in league play, and YouTubers brought the punishment to light for the community, not sure about other countries, but they will have similar laws. Unfortunately the likelihood of anyone getting any real punishment is slim to none, even though it could literally cost people their lives, you never know who you're DDOSing.

4 RepliesI looked in your match history and saw the last match you were disconnected from, and immediately recognize the names on the other fire team. I don't have to look them up because I already have and know full well that they have a history of their games being won against teams whose members are disconnected. This is the history that you would see if someone was using a DOS attack to boot their opponents, and this is no doubt what likely happened to you. If you couldn't report them in game, report them using Bungie's online [url=https://www.bungie.net/en/Help/Troubleshoot?oid=13967]form[/url]. Anyone else that has taken the time to look through your history and found that match, I would encourage them to report that team as well. I will report them.

2 Repliesalso, to the ninja or mentor who edited this. This is in regard to a KNOWN CHEATER who had been permabanned on another, minimally differently named account. Seriously, someone needs to get in touch with anyone who can relay this info directly to bungie staff before this person ruins a few thousand more peoples' experience with this game.

Update* These guys ended up going flawless by booting people out of their way to the lighthouse. Thanks for the feedback everyone! I will for sure take the time to report these people and I hope others do as well.

dont just report them here, report them directly to xbox Also, go into your router logs immediately, and get their IP info. Look up the ip and find the provider, and immediately call them and report this. These people are known abusers of cheating, have been banned before, and hopefully if at least one person takes the right steps this time they can face not only bans from all online play, but mandated avoidance of all online technology usage, and even jail time.

For the love of God, please report these guys. At least one of them has already been permanently banned and started an alt account. I'm not even on Xbox and I reported them.

If enough of the people they're coming across and possibly kicking report them, they probably will be restricted soon. Or in the case of the one of those individuals, probably a permanent console ban cause dumbass hasn't learned.
