Triple Threat Titans 65- The Grey Twins' Fall from Grace

Atlas, Lady Splash (me) is starting to get back on track. Both here and in real life. Can't wait 'till March. Track Season will return soon. And hopefully I will be breaking records. Enough rambling, and let's get down to the Nitty Gritty. =============================== *This is from Mia's point of view.* Pro Tip: Never wake up Sarah if she’s tossing and turning with purple wings sprouting from her back. Because when I managed to wake her up, she went insta-Phoenix. Her eyes were glowing purple and all that jazz. The wings grew gigantic. Who dares to awaken my fury? the voice bellowed. I sighed. She was probably going to go rampaging. I had to do something. So I shot her between the eyes with a void anchor. When Lunar revived Sarah her void wings disappeared. I told her this, “You’re losing your grip. Whatever it is, the Phoenix is trying to consume you.” “It grows harder and harder to control,” she replied. “Alright then, get up,” I told her, “The Consensus has summoned you. Your fate will be determined.” She got off the tree, stretching and yawning. I cannot disclose where the Consensus meets. I am sworn to secrecy. I did take Sarah there. There was this table with multiple seats. The Speaker sat at the head. Lord Saladin stood next to the Speaker. Ikora, Cayde, and Zavala sat to the right. Arach Jalaal, Executor Hideo, and Lakshmi-2 sat on the left. “Those aren’t all of the Greys,” Cayde muttered. “Say that again,” Sarah asked. “Nothing.” “You said something.” “It’s none of your concern,” Ikora reassured. The Speaker spoke up, “Sarah, there is something that must be discussed. It is very important.” “Then, why is Mia here?” she asked. “This affects her, too,” Zavala inquired. Hideo fiddled with a holopad, “Do you remember the events of January 14, at 12 hundred, fifty-four.” The holopad projected footage of the first outburst. The glowing purple wings. The lightning. All of it. Sarah stamped her foot, “What? I--” “Wasn’t in control. There are reports of another outburst,” Hideo argued. Then nodded to Ikora. “It is not random. You see, another Warlock told me, about something that occurred during your fight with Crota,” Ikora replied, “You were driven… by rage.” Sarah’s face turned red. “Kyra,” she muttered, “That backstabbing, Spanish-speaking, Awoken--” At backstabbing, she grew wings of pure fire. Feathery ones that were glowing orange. “Your emotions are a weakness,” I told her, “Sarah, calm down.” “This is why she needs to be exterminated!” Hideo yelled, standing up, “And why I’d never I’d let her join New Monarchy!” “Sit down, and shut your mouth,” Saladin muttered, “Your aggression can’t match her power, she’d kill you in a heartbeat.” “I’m surprised that you’d think of her like that. Isn’t she the perfect single sovereign of unimpeachable character that you whispered about yesterday?” I asked with a grin. “I have no idea what you're talking about,” the New Monarchy representative denied. “Speaking of factions, Lakshmi, don’t you have something to say,” Jaal asked. The Exo looked Sarah in the eyes, “The Leaders of the War Cult, myself included, have decided. Miss Grey, I revoke you allegiance to the War Cult.” Sarah’s jaw dropped to the ground. Then she clenched it, with spite, “I was your most loyal supporter, and all of a sudden you just drop me like a leaf?” “Sarah, you're too dangerous,” the Speaker explained, “Your outbursts are deadly. Something uncontrollable. You’ve tried to get a grip, but it’s too much for you to handle.” “I would not let a Guardian, much less, a citizen, be killed by you,” Zavala added. “You are to leave the City, and never return, or come in contact with any Guardian,” the Speaker told us. Personally, I was breaking into pieces. The Consensus had froze my heart, and threw it onto concrete. But I had to keep a straight face. Sarah’s wings had turned indigo with despair. She was holding back tears as she thought about all her friends she’d leave behind. She hugged me. Between the two of us, I’m not sure who cried more. I think I did, after all, I was never really there for her. The the worst days of my life began when she left that room. To be continued…
