Because it wasn't the first raid. Most people are in love with VoG because it was the first raid and they refuse to admit that destiny has had good stuff since then. Also, it's how a raid should be (too much teamwork, communication, mechanics, etc.) and that's not what people want for a raid. They want a boring raid that feels closer to a strike having you clear waves of enemies without doing much else (VoG).

Kings fall is highly dependent on set mechanics that don't allow for deviation. You have to be on a plate and stay there. If you deviate, you fail. Vog had movement. Yes, there were plates, but you could step off them and the raid did not instantly fail. That's why VoG was better. You could allow for some degree of flexibility.

More movement??? You could do the entire conflux and oracle sections without much movement!! That's why it is a boring raid. KF isn't just plates. They were only a part of a fight. The fact that you needed to stay alive for the plate to work already shows it is a better raid. It means teamwork, and that you have to hold your own. That's how a raid should be!
