Doing oracles from the top means you're missing out on the fun. There are lots of step in atheon where you can actually run around.
Likewise, the bridge in Crota is a lot of fun if you don't cheese it... which means a full team. and the curses thralls were a lot of fun to do back then (way too easy these days)

There are a lot of places at the Warpriest where you can run around before DPSing, just like Atheon.

It still ends up DPSing the warpriest, you just need to survive until then, and it's actually very quick. A lot of kingsfall feels like waiting for the ten important seconds that you must not -blam!- up, and grinding things a few times until you just make a stupid mistake at the beginning and wipe.
