With the Nintendo Switch being recently revealed, I had high hopes for the console to really succeed where the Wii U had failed. However, after watching the reveal, I have been left quite disappointed. I have taken the time to write down some points on where I think Nintendo has gone wrong for the second time. As much as I'd like to see the console succeed, I have a hard time believing that it will due to Nintendo's latest errors.
Feel free to read it and share your thoughts on why you think it will do well or poorly.

Edited by Kankunation: 1/17/2017 3:08:00 PMHere's the thing. Nintendo has no intention of trying to please hardcore gamers. That's not their market. Nintendo aims for purely entertaining, casual experiences. Their goal is to have a console in the hands of every family, every non-gamer, etc, and provide them with quality entertainment that while not top of the line, is enjoyable from a gameplay standpoint. The place they are failing in is their marketing. Think about the Wii. That thing was heavily marketed on tv, and ended up being in nearly every household, even though it was outdated tech. Then look at the wiiU, the average person still doesn't even know it's separate from the Wii. Nintendo can really hit it big with the switch. They just need to understand who to market towards. It not hardcore gamers.
