You can sort just the 3 classes or do each subclass. Personally, I think it'd be more interesting to look at each subclass.

Striker - Gryffindor. Of all the subclasses, Strikers are most resemblant of 'knights-in-shining-armor.' Since Gryffindor values chivalry, I think they're best suited to this house because they're certainly one of the bravest classes, charging headlong into battle and winning battles with their sheer strength. Defender - Hufflepuff. Members of Hufflepuff are known for being hard-working, patient, kind, and loyal. Defenders are often called stalwarts because of they way they use their light to defend their allies, while at the same time using it as a weapon against the darkness by patiently waiting for their enemies to come to them. Sunbreaker - Gryffindor. The Sunbreakers are a lot like Strikers. Brave, headstrong, etc. The major difference between them is the kind of light they employ. Gunslinger - Gryffindor. I think that f all the hunter classes, Gunslingers are the bravest. While the others hide with invisibility and void light, the Gunslinger goes out in the open, daring his enemies to challenge him while trusting his own skill above all. Bladedancer - Slytherin. It has been said that members of Slytherin will use any means to achieve their ends, which implies that they are willing to resort to unfair, underhanded tactics if it means getting on top. The Bladedancer is described as being unfair in game, even by Cayde himself. I'm not being salty about Bladedancers here, I think that Slytherin is the most badass house. Nightstalker - Ravenclaw. Ravenclaw is all about knowledge and gaining power through it. With that said, I think that Nightstalkers are most befitting to this house because according to the lore void is difficult for most hunters to grasp, so it must take them some knowledge and practice to master. It is also mentioned by Ikora that they've found a way to make a flame without any use of solar light (referring to their voidwall grenade) which shows that they are innovative. Voidwalker - Slytherin. Another thing that Slytherin is known for is producing more dark wizards than any other Hogwarts house. In the case of the Voidwalkers, they revel in their use of dark magic. They rip the life force from their enemies to bolster their own power, while making their enemies violently explode and dissolve. Sunsinger - Hufflepuff. Like the Defenders, Sunsingers are focused on working hard for the sake of their own team, putting aside their ambitions to support their allies. Stormcaller - Ravenclaw. Pretty much for the same reasons as Nightstalker, but even more so since Warlocks have the "knowledge is power" mentality more than Hunters and Titans.
