Okay so I've been a day one hunter. Its my goto class of choice. The blade dancer is my favorite and lately, and I mean for the past year and a half, the blade has been supremely underwhelming. The invisiablity is a joke... Nightstalker has better invis because least a cloud of smoke hides your to dosorent enemies. The quick draw perk is so nerfed in the ground that even a gun with snapshot and that perk active still take ages to ads. Not to mention the animation for super can be killed through unlike all of other classes; this goes for golden gun and shade shot. The flux grenade is no where near as viable as the fusion in regards to its tracking, travel speed, damage when stuck to an enemy, or even the hit box for it. Blink strike is the most broken melee I've ever had to use since the balance update for ttk. Its utterly not even there. I have on so many occasions just flat out swung my knife in mid air whilst 5 feet from an enemy. How the hell is that a blink strike. Its 1.8 meters and the range is suppose to be 1.9 meters! All in all I love my blade dancer and always will but what you've given to war locks and titans (cough) dobt get me started on hunter being the slowest class ever compared to titan skate; doesn't even compare in terms of how badly you have shoved this class into the ground 6 feet under with a tomb stone reading f off for sale f this is not what we wanted.

Hey don't talk about TRADEdancer like that

Edited by Joseph Ballin: 1/18/2017 4:31:18 PMSkips, felwinters, nuff said. Or if you have it shinobu's vow.

Blade dancer is completely ducking useless now.
-
I'm a bladedancer main, and literally everything you talked about does not make sense. At all. You realize that flux grenades are the same as all the other stickies right??
-
Fusions have more tracking then skips lol. This person is mentally disabled guys so go easy on him.
-
Funny how hunter mains complain about how "bad" is the bladedancer yet it's still the best subclass for pvp. http://guardian.gg/en/subclass/bladedancer
-
skips are -blam!-en OP and stupid annoying
-
Go look at my post 'The complete guide for hunters' it's in the classes section and will hopefully help you overcome these problems you're having.
-
I agree with everything you said except the melee part. Blink strike/Back stab still one shots opponents when hitting them head on. It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does it leaves you and your opponent baffled. I have been on the receiving end of this and likewise did it to a few players. One of the most broken melees in this game.
-
Ermm an experienced blade dancer can negate all of these things. The jump is more controlled than Titans if you use it right and is perfect for duking out players. Whilst activating blade slide along the floor to avoid being gunned down (this works on gunslinger too and nightstalkers can shadestep before firing). All grenades are extremely good choices. Although I do think that the blinkstrike needs a patch as its backstab detection is stupid. Quickdraw is a good perk it's the sniper ads perks that need buffs.

Edited by Zero the Remnant: 1/16/2017 1:15:52 PMWell I will admit I agree with some of your points, strongly disagree with others:
The invisibility is a joke... Nightstalker has better invis because least a cloud of smoke hides your to dosorent enemies. This is 50/50 in my book. The Bladedancer can invis off a melee & by croching in place. Nightstalker has to use their smoke. Bladedancer also can remain invisible for an extended duration of time when using their super which can often completely save a team. I will admit the invis could use retooling. But I haven't found it to be lacking. Just like Nightsalker it takes planning & strategy. The quick draw perk is so nerfed in the ground that even a gun with snapshot and that perk active still take ages to ads. I have never felt the need to use this so no comment. Not to mention the animation for super can be killed through unlike all of other classes; this goes for golden gun and shade shot. The animation also turns you invisible if you have the perk chosen right? I personally have never popped it out in the middle of a fray. Mainly because like Stormcaller (without Landfall) & Hammer of Sol the animation is placelocking. I believe you can kill the other subclasses across all 3 classes but their supers being an attack making it riskier. I know I have downed Gunslingers using Truth, even killed Fist of Havoc & Nova Bombing Warlock before they could get the attack off. Watched my friend snipe Nightstalker mid-bowcast. It's possible. Wandering supers just have longer animations. The flux grenade is no where near as viable as the fusion in regards to its tracking, travel speed, damage when stuck to an enemy, or even the hit box for it. I will agree in saying that Hunter Grenades in general need a retool. Flux Grenade is one of my Grenade of choice. Works just like Fusion tracking wise. I agree in its damage though... Unlike Fusion it does less damage both when attached & not attached to an enemy, vs Fusions who guarantee a kill with attached, & while unstuck have a low chance to kill. Arcbolt Grenade needs love too. Severely. It & Firebolt are very lackluster now a days. Even in PVE they lack use unless there is a burn on. Skip Grenades seem to be quite handy. Gunslingers Grenades also need a retool. Specifically Tripmine (revert the nerf on them), & Swarm (useless). Even Nightstalker grenases could use a once over. Spike grenade sucks (but to ve fair. "I" may be the one who sucks at using them.), Vortex doesn't seem to be as effective as Warlock's Vortex Grenade oddly. I have had no issues with it. I spam the hell out of it actually. It refreshes nearly instantly too, so misjudging distance is hardly penalizing. Honestly, are you positive you aren't misjudging the distance? hunter being the slowest class ever compared to titan skate Disagree here, Hunters by default run/sprint faster than thebother classes. Everytime I switch over to my Hunter I immediately feel the difference in speed in honestly everything. Titan Skate, Warlock Surf TECHNICALLY are exploits. So they cannot be legitimately held up to the standard. Hunters can do similiar with Bones of Eao/Triple Jump & the base Sprint Speed. But its not as nessicary as a just sprinting & sliding.
No most of your point makes 0 sense, you're just bad at the game that's it
-
I see most of the twitch streamers switched from hunters to warlocks for that beloved shotgun+melee combo
-
I think people misunderstand agility for top speed. It's not the same thing, and hunters are definitely more agile than the other two. Especially when they have exotic boots on.
-
Just putting this out there, blink strike backstab has more use than you're giving it credit for. It procs almost 85% of the time from above the head and that means it can kill roaming supers paired with shotty.

Edited by Droid: 1/15/2017 8:22:18 PMI use all 3 classes. That said, when it's time for any pvp activity Hunter is my go to option. Your post makes me want to puke. I'm sorry that hunter is no longer the highest rated subclass for pvp, but that doesn't mean it sucks. Not sure what your issue is with the melee. My melee rate goes like this. Warlock. Hunter. Titan. Hunter takes the number 2 spot solely for the night stalker melee mods. That aside however, hunter and titan would have tied. ( blink strike needs better abilities as well as gun slinger. ) Warlock melee mods are trash. Only beneficial in pve (storm caller melee aside) The only reason warlock takes number one is because of range and ease of use (tracking) Titan melee mods, trash. Again, only beneficial in pve. Even then only slightly. Also, not sure what your issue is with the "weapons ready faster", BD perk. To me it works. I can definitely tell a difference. Warlocks tracking needs to be toned down if it's going to keep the range AND be able to lunge. Every sticky Nade should be the same. You have a point there. Titan movement speed should be turned down a notch due to skating. So point there. No need in talking about hunters agility when everyone wants to run armor and recovery and sacrifice agility anyway. So, you hunter mains need to stop with that argument. You can't have armor recovery AND agility. Only two. It's no one's fault you don't run an agility build. You should not be complaining about blade dancer when sun singer is completely useless in pvp. Flame shield was the only really beneficial melee mod, and now the warlock can't even survive a melee shotty combo. I understand that you main Hunter, so biased post is biased. But consider all classes before spewing nonsense. Especially when there's other subs that could use some work. ( gun slinger / sun singer ) With this said. every class has a sub that needs a touch up. Supers, melee mods, and Nades. Blade dancer as a whole however, is not the weakest sub.

Lol, I had my blink strike track a wall before..... Apparently that wall was way more important Wish I still had the video of it....
-
Really the super is fine as it is if you change one thing. Ditch the the ascension of power animation. Striker doesn't need to go all super nova group fire target in order to use their super. Storm trance does but it also has a perk that will fry anything too close when it activates, hammer of sol too but it's a ranged attack....well depending on what perk you use. Novabomb you can shoot someone out of but I almost never see it happen. If all you have to do to trigger the arcblade is tap the buttons and go, it works. Otherwise by the time you've announced your presence to the entire enemy fireteam, they're either all gone or someone is charging in to shotgunpunch you out of your super.

Bladedancer just need armor buffed

My Blink Strike actually misses more often than any other melee I've used -- by this I mean that I can blink strike at someone and they take no damage. Activation failures for blink strike when pressing melee within distance is also a major problem. It's slower because of the blink visual, and the reach is now outdone entirely by a warlock (no matter the subclass), as far as how it feels in game. I find it even worse that they added an ability like Amplitude for warlock and not long after decided to nerf blink strike's reach -- so basically not only is it slower than thunder strike, but is also weaker and has far less reach. My idea would be to change Back Stab such that instead of dealing that glitchy additional damage, it should make Blink Strike blink to an enemy's back and hit them, while increasing the cooldown similar to Warlock's Flame Shield. Next, change Escape Artist to not only work as it does now, but also be able to activate the cloaking effect by holding the melee button with no target within melee range, putting Blink Strike on cooldown. Lastly, Fast Twitch could be taken out for something similar to Ionic Blink, but activated like Shade Step -- with this all melee would be normal melee, and activating by crouching twice would put it on the same cooldown that Blink Strike would have had. All of the Bladedancer grenades have been nerfed, but Skip is the only one that is still viable. Flux is basically a Fusion Grenade that deals less damage and takes more skill to actually land, I think that Flux should be buffed not to deal more damage, but to arc lightning to nearby enemies if it sticks a target, since it deals less damage already. Arcbolt is a terrible grenade imo but is basically in line with Firebolt, being extremely weak and having an impractical sensory reach to send the bolt out. I thnk the way to change these grenades is to give them more damage and reach, but make them take longer to fire the bolts since the damage is instant unlike the Axionbolt. This would make it possible to escape the damage more easily, but also make these grenades good for smoking out corner campers and priming players who don't react in time -- right now they are too easy to simply ignore. And just so this option seems like a better idea to warlocks too, since they have it all, this is also a buff to the Stormcaller.

Would be nice if invisble hunters would stop glowing when they're sprinting or jumping. Would also be ncie if they'd do something about that -blam!-ing artifact. I almost feel guilty when I see an invisble hunter charging at me thinking they invisible but glowing like the midnoon sun. At the very least change the color filter from blue to gold so that they will remember everyone and their brother can see them.
-
I think blade dancers need a buff in pve. The buff would be to add a flinch/stun lock effect to the super, but it will only work on minions of the darkness. I want this buff so blade dancers don't get stomped to death when trying to damage a boss.
-
Bungo knows it but for sure a wife of a developer cried about the op of bladedancers and there you go nerfs until break the subclass. Dont lose youre time Bungo knows it and they dont care.
