Which Mass Effect game is you favorite?
Following the small tease we got from CES 2017 for Mass Effect: Andromeda, I'm curious as to which game in the original trilogy is your favorite and why? Can't wait for Andromeda's release on March 21st!

1 ReplyFor me, the first game is my favourite. I find that it's story and the feeling from it has not yet been surpassed in the series again. It feels more of a RPG than an action game. I love the combat in the first and the mako itself is fun. I started with ME3 back when it can out, then moved onto Mass Effect then the 2nd game after that. Many things in the later games seem like a step backwards. I really liked the overheating weapons rather than the Ammo that was introduced in ME2.

I like 3 up until a point. Specifically that citadel DLC.

I have to go with 2, but 1 is so damn good as well. The story of 1 is absolutely phenomenal.

No 2 was my favorite but I voted for no. one due to its menu music. By far my favorite out of every game I've ever played. The first minute of it is awesome.

Edited by cheeseking777: 1/13/2017 3:41:43 PM1 was a great introduction, and 3 (minus the ending) was a pretty epic conclusion, but 2 was just perfect. Great characters and dramatic cutscenes.

2 RepliesHonestly, Mass Effect 3. Its refined combat and weapon mechanics made the game so much more enjoyable from a simple gameplay perspective. It also had a really fun and intense story that was great until the last 10 minutes. I'm not going to let those 10 minutes ruin the whole game for me. Also, ME3 had the best DLC overall and a fun multiplayer.

Iv had 2 sitting in my steam library for a couple weeks now. But iv not played it yet

I love the atmosphere and story of 2, while I love the others also something about the aftermath and the state of the galaxy in that one was so cool, hearing all the news reports on omega when you first get back out there really immerses you, or atleast it did me.

Replaying the trilogy now and Mass Effect is still my favorite. It's the beginning of your Shep's story and as a Liara-mancer, it's the one where she doesn't ignore you for the whole game... lol

I love all the games, yes even ME3 with its lackluster ending. But Mass EFFECT 2 is hands down my favorite of the trilogy, and in my opinion one of the best games in all of gaming history. I love the variety of companions, which gives a great combination of powers. I honestly could care less about Kaiden. Regardless of who I romanced in the first game, I always sacrifice Kaiden on Virmire. But with ME2, I love having everyone with me. I tend to favor Garrus. Did in ME1 too. But I can use him with any combo companions. The story was better too. Even the DLC is amazing.
