I woke up with my head hurting. I was in laying in the rubble of a human structure. Where did Aksis go off to?, I thought. My battle with him didn't go too well, clearly. Just don't know why he just ran off, then my vision began to clear up. I had to stay crouched down, the dead soldiers were scavenging. Unfortunately, I'm hard to miss. They haven't seen me yet, though.
Something is different about these Guardians. They bear a marking that I have seen once; a clenched fist, painted dark green. The only encounter I had was with their leader, Lysander. Terrible man, tried to kill me. To be fair, I took something valuable. Still, he deserved it, seeing how his dark plots are unjustified.
The soldiers went off, still looking for what happened here. I had to get back to tracking the signal. Through my dreams, I know they come from a different time of this solar system. The future, or the past? The ripples of time gave me their dreams, either way. At least in theory, that is what happened.
So far, it would seem that me, Aksis' disgraced crew, and Lysander are trying to get to them. I'm about one and a half miles from them. Hopefully I get to these time travelers before Aksis or Lysander does.
"Captain Clubber, these ships are far from human, and I'm detecting alien life approaching us. These infrared radars are showing that they are four armed, carrying blades and firearms. I'm even detecting stealth tech on some of them." Officer Mason just briefed the crew and I. The creatures aren't something I'll be fond of. I'm figuring out what is happening the longer I'm here. The vault we ran into sent us forward in time, into this imminent future that we had seen through Maya Sundaresh's Device.
My former captain, Elvis Kirk, had a vision of the four-armed beasts, accept they were only outlines of shadows. Now we will see the ones he described before I killed him to get in the position of captain. Mason might do the same, but I know all his tricks. He got to first officer the way I got to captain. If the rest of the War Cult knew that Mason and I got here that way, we'd be dead in a minute.
Although, I'm afraid we won't see the War Cult again. We are stuck in the future, maybe forever. We didn't cause that vault to open on Venus, did we? I didn't see any Vex specimens around. It was as if something in there just woke up. Now we're stuck in the far future, it would seem.
I'll have to feel out the state of the solar system, because we might be stuck here. It would be hard for my crew to accept, but I don't think we will be able to go back. I feel sorry for myself, and my crew. Many of them have families back home. My family doesn't talk to me, because I'm away a lot. I also avoided contacting them, after clawing my way up to captain the way I did. It feels good to be here, but my family couldn't accept me for what I am.
Mason approached me and said, "Sir, large creature approaching. One of the alien lifeforms, I'm picking up it's heat signature."
I told him and the crew, "Alright, everyone. We're going to try to pin it. Don't shoot unless it attacks." The creature was behind the building to the right. My crew of forty-five started approaching with their rifles up, ready for it to jump us. Everyone had fear in their eyes, but they would do anything for their captain. Mason was my best friend in the FWC's military training, but I trusted him the least. I had much loyalty in the rest of my crew. They weren't like me, and they respect me. It's not deserved, but I'm here.
The creature was a hulking eleven feet tall, four-armed and muscular. He wore an orange cloak with markings of a strange language on it. My crew backed up and yelled at it, telling it to stay back. The creature put it's arms in the air and remained calm. It began to make a clicking sound, and starting speaking English.
"I am not here to harm you. I am here to help you, from the other ones like me, and the other ones like you", the creature said.
I kept my .45 aimed at him, and asked, "What is your name? What are you?"
The creature replied, "My name is Vesrik. Many call us 'fallen' but we are Eliksni."
I asked him again, "Who are the others like you that are after us? Who were those people with the green-fist marking?"
"The Eliksni here are lead by a disgraced religious leader, and they hunt anything they know is there. The humans here, I hardly know anything on them. I have had a brief encounter with them before, and they are called the Concordat. They are lead by a man named Lysander... you understand?"
I was puzzled, not really understanding these 'Eliksni'. This Concordat, all I really knew is that they are not really friendly. "We'll talk about it later. I think we need to make getting out of this city our priority."
Vesrik understood, and said, "Yes, yes, I agree. This place is not open enough for transmat, and the large ship in the air is mine. We need to get into a clearing! Follow me."
I nodded to my crew, and they followed me as I followed the large Eliksni. We ran through the streets, following the beast that was Vesrik. I had no choice but to trust the beast, and he sounded genuine, despite the alien accent and all the clicking.
Smaller Eliksni like Vesrik, fifteen of them, came out of the buildings, with read capes and banners. We opened fire on the them, killing three. They returned fire, killing four of my crewman. "Get to cover! Get to cover!" I yelled to my crew. I saw Vesrik flank them, and he decapitated the larger one with a massive blade. The other Eliksni grouped up and got to cover. Vesrik pulled a large alien-weapon from his back, and rushed them. He fired on all of them, filling them with holes in their chests.
All of them had died. Vesrik literally took on all of the Eliksni by himself. We did not know how to react, seeing how we just met him. The bulky alien looked at us with his four blue eyes and said, "That isn't the last of them that we will see. Come on, we have to move fast."
We caught Vesrik's pace and we were 200 meters from the clearing. Vesrik saw something and said, "Six Concordat soldiers, incoming! Get to cover!" I didn't understand this at all. Only six were there, and I saw them earlier. They looked like well-trained soldiers, but six of them we could easily gun down.
"Why are we running from four soldiers? We can take them!" It was forty against six, what could possibly happen.
Vesrik looked at us in fear and anxiety. "Get to cover, fast! Everyone scatter into groups of four and each group get into separate buildings." This was a strategy meant to take down large groups. Vesrik wasn't done yet. "You do not understand. These people have powers you do not understand. It's the only way!"
I looked at him, wondering what these powers were. I listened to him anyway, and said, "Alright. Everyone do what he said, four groups of ten, each on one building. Vesrik, come with my group!"
Vesrik explained the powers briefly, and my crew looked scared. Each group got into the buildings, all four across or beside each other. Before we got into the buildings, Vesrik also explained to us these resurrection-bots, and how they would bring back the Concordat soldiers even after we killed them. Vesrik and I had a plan for it.
The soldiers were walking to the point in between all four of the buildings. They looked around, and they were observing the area. I gave the signal; I cried out, "Now!" Everyone fired on the six bulky soldiers, and they fell to the ground in seconds. We saw six little lights approaching the bodies, about 30 meters away. They got from 30 meters to 20, and 20 got to 10. Two from each group took the pins off of their grenades. "Throw them out!"
We chucked them towards the bodies while the six lights above the then, and before they could scatter, the grenades detonated. No lights shined above the bodies any longer. As we realized the resurrection-bots were destroyed, we yelled out in joy.
Vesrik got us back to our senses. "Survival is temporary, if we aren't cautious. We're close, but we're still in hostile territory. I'll tell my Pilot Servitor we will be in the clearing soon."
We ran to the clearing. Eliksni started coming from all directions. "Faster! Faster! He is here!" Vesrik didn't need to tell us because there he was: the disgraced priest. He was just as big as Vesrik, accept with madness in his motion. He rallied his soldiers with a battle cry! They drew their blades and charged us.
The Eliksni came from the streets connecting to the clearing, the priest leading the charge. We were in the center of the clearing and Vesrik yelled into his communicator, "Lock all for transmat, now!" Their blades were only a few feet away from us, but before they reached us we were gone.

It was alittle confusing but good job. 👍
