Combined Arms: What's your opinion on the Interceptor?
So a lot of people really like using these beasts, but one can argue (and I have heard quite a few arguments) that these things are too overpowered, since they are virtually indestructible and cannot be boarded or temporarily disabled like in Halo and the only truly easy way to shut one down is to land a very precise Snipe, wait for Heavy or land a well placed Super.
I've heard many people say these things are too OPed and some say they are just right. what's your opinion on the matter?
EDIT 1: it's great to hear from you guys, but I feel I need to set something straight, I am [b][u]NOT[/u][/b] calling for a Nero of Interceptors, I just want to discuss what has your opinion is on the matter.

I never use interceptors but I have no issues with them as long as scrubs aren't camping with them.

Interceptors suuck. Heavy Pikes are where it's at my friend.

Personally i do not use it, but it so fun with sparrows, pikes and interceptor to watch out for. I think combined arms is an mazing playlist :)

They're so slow, the people on them can easily be taken out by scout rifles pulse rifles hand cannons shotguns and pretty much any other weapon type. Anyone who says they're OP probably uses the strategy of running in a straight line on the ground while firing.

1 ReplyI reckon they'd be fine if we had a hijack function. For a while i actually thought they did, but then CA got removed, and i only figured it out when it came back, and i attempted hijacking.

Now that I'm on Xbox I want to play the Halo games and feel how powerful the vehicles are compared to the turtle Interceptors in Destiny.

They are cool, but I never use them. Combined arms is one of the few times I will use snipers.....and sniper interceptor drivers lol

If you're running a sunsinger warlock or a sunbreaker titan, then one fushion grenade is all you need to take out the driver.

Took one down with a scout rifle and a lightning grenade. Didn't even sweat.

It is more an annoyance than a problem, double now that heavy only comes once a match

They are basically like paper and easy to take out. If at all they could use a buff.

Heavy pike to dodge their charge then mine them.

Silly gamemode like mayhem. If you wanna take crucible seriously play something else. If you wanna have giggles play combined arms.
