So i see the season pass and its absurd pricing. Now im not one to be spendy on games and cant really play with my younger cousin anymore (kids and all that) but i just got Gears 4 and know nothing about the maps.
1. Is there public lobby for dlc maps or is it for private only?
2. Are there any GOOD maps. Like easier maps to hit 50 in horde.. than in vanilla?
3. If i get the season pass this late do i miss out on gear packs or will it send me the number of packs given since day one? (I think it said you get periodic packs with pass). I doubt 3 is likely.
These three questions will influence my decision. Trust me i hate the pricing and micro-trans of gears 4 but ive always gotten the season pass for gears and i like the campaign so far.
Thanks

Depends how many maps they release. I spent $40 in the season pass and sp far they released 4 maps for $5 each, unless you have season pass not worth it yet

The season pass is pretty worthless. Stay far away from it.

The season pass is the most worthless one out of nearly any game I've seen. You get: -1 or 2 forgettable skins -a few random loot boxes -access to the new maps a week early in a 'developers playlist' which features only the new maps but only lasts 1 week before it's available to everyone. Also there are very limited game modes for that playlist. -access to all previously released maps in private matches, so unless you have lots of online friends it's really meaningless (not sure you get bounties from private horde or private matches, but I doubt it) Basically there are about 8 (guesstimate) maps in rotation in the matchmaking playlists. When new maps release they are first playable to season pass holders a week early in a dev playlist. Then the new maps fall into the normal 8 map rotation for all public games. 2 of the maps from the earlier rotation are now removed from public matchmaking and are only available to season pass holders in private games. Yet, if you have a season pass holder friend invite you to their game you can play any of the maps with them privately even though you didn't buy the season pass So please please don't buy it. Such a waste of money. If you want more opinions go to the gears forums and you'll see everyone hating on the coalition for such a shitty season pass

Checkout is one of the easiest horde maps(takes about 45 minutes). But that's only one map, so I can't recommend buying it just for that one map. 3. You will get the packs. But there are no periodic packs. Just the 50 or so they give you as soon as you buy it. I can't say I'd recommend buying it. It's greatly overpriced currently. However, they recent said they are thinking about offering special items to SP owners, so that's a plus. But this is very vague, and until we find out what these "special items" are, I'd wouldn't get it. Also just a PSA there will be no campaign DLC for gow4 so keep that in mind.

Edited by Tobito_TheGod: 1/5/2017 11:06:52 PMI only bought the Ultimate edition to play early. The pass isn't worth it in whatsoever .
