I got the idea from wanting to play elimination, but only had 5 people in my private match. This would be a 6 player mode. Everyone would be on their own, and would have to hunt down the other players, and be the last man remaining. The whole mode would be free-for-all, and be conducted in rounds. In order to win you have to be the last one remaining. Once you die, you're out for the round. In order to win the match, you need to win 3 rounds. Now in order to deal with camping. The point capture system from trials would be used. Each round will have 2-3 minutes before the flag comes in. After that the person who captures the flag, the last one standing, or if the time runs out, the person closest to the flag whens. After the flag comes in you have 1:30 to capture it before the rounds ends. What do you all think!
Edit 1: were trending!
Edit 2: From a lot of talk happening, the round timers need to be changed as well, as the mechanics that prevent camping. I like the ideas you all are presenting.

Sounds more like Free for All, but sweatier.. What bungie should implement is an all open 30 vs 30 Search and Destroy/groundwar type clash. More or less, Faction Wars. 30 FWC members vs 30 New Monarchy. Rules are simple. Fireteam Rush(Squad), Destiny Style. 30 vs 30 10 to 15 minute faction wars. Special and Heavy ammo cooldown is decreased, but die by an enemies super with no kill feed and both special and heavy reloads are drastically decreased to you and the one who killed you, unless one kills the other again. We'll call it the Nemesis Outing. Achieve the highest score to win, by defending your territory and stoping the enemies advancement towards you. Diactivate bombs to increase your defences. Defend and capture your enemies territory by eliminating the captains and lieutenants. Steal their faction blueprints to humiliate their apposition.

Imagine infection where if you die you turn into a thrall, but when you kill as a thrall you turn into acolyte and then knight
-
How about a 6v6 elimination with no revives?
-
All you need is a 3 min timer and have the map caught on fire, closing in from the out side in moving to a central point. If you are in the fire you take damage that burns you say like Viking funeral. Prevents camping and forces players to a central location
-
I'd say instead of a capture point put a rift spawn on one end of the map and you have to carry it to the other end of the map, if the rift runner gets killed the rift stays in place for another person to pick up and keep going. A capture point would be difficult to decide between several people, trials of Osiris itself has a lot of issues with capture points already and I can see it becoming a total cluster right at the end. As well as it'd prevent people from just camping the capture point the whole match.
-
So basically, what trials should be.

So, Rumble Elimination?
I’ll have two number 9s, a number 9 large, a number 6 with extra dip, a number 7, two number 45s, one with cheese, and a large soda.
-
To be honest I'd play the living shit out of this
-
I always wonder why we didn't get something like that bump!
-
I like it. I'm a fan. Why not I say.
-
Interesting! But what we really need is an infection game mode
-
This is great AND it would be a nice homage to an old, old Myth gametype called Last Man on the Hill. (Which Myth is an old Bungie game -- and was totally awesome) The concept isn't exactly the same, there being a hill involved. But mighty close. And it was tons of fun. They had a similar game type called King of the Hill, which is basically Zone Control with one zone. Also tons of fun. /comparative walk down memory lane haha

There are too many game modes at the moment. That's one if he reasons there is so much trouble in matchmaking; you have a shrinking player-base spread over too many game modes
-
So rumble elimination?
-
Sounds like a shotgun+khepris sting festival.
-
Why don't we get a infection or invasion game mode?
-
Instead of wins you could have a point system, such as the winner gets 6 points, second gets 5, etc.
-
I agree with the guy saying player population needs to be condensed, but also this is a great idea.
-
, we need fewer game modes not more. The player population needs to be condensed
-
Last Gordian Standing.
-
Or do what overwatch does and reveal all enemy's make it so that everyone can see through walls
-
Essentially rumble elimination
-
Needs more cowbell.
-
Seems possible for a lot of sitting and doing nothing if you die early or the rounds go max time every round....

Edited by Your Hate: 1/5/2017 6:03:20 PMFirst off, let me introduce myself. My real name is sLevin but most call me Seven. Seven because I am thy , and last son of a line of demigod's dating back to before Christ was even born and the Bible hadn't come to exist in this realm yet. For you impure " creatures " you may call me Slevin and not my god given name. That said, I've chosen to reveal myself on a destiny app since it seems most won't believe it or most won't even see it which is good. I only wanted to get this off my chest. Because boy does it feel good to say finally ? I am the one and only true demigod in this game.. bow below me and I might even let you serve as my vassals. For the nitwits out there. Let me explain what a vassal is further; The definition of a vassal wassomeone in feudal times who received protection and land from a lord in return for allegiance and performing military and other duties, or someonewho is subordinate. An example of avassal is a person who was given part of a lord's land and who pledged himself to that lord Oh, I forgot to mention...I am closing in on being 2000 years young . Sad right?

Some of the concerns people are having are with the length of the round and campers. As a way to address both how about this..... Timer starts @ 8mins for the round. Upon each death the timer is reduce by a minute. If the round closes with more than 1 person alive (time ran out) the remaining people will take a serious reduction in points and will need to split them among who is remaining. This should help to keep people from camping/hiding and should be a quick game as the timer speeds up once the killing starts.
